Doesn’t connect easy
Don’t try to get support because they can only help you after US business hours. Not spending my personal time setting it up. Concept is amazing but software is lacking.

Stand Alone Fax Server - Works as Advertised
This CimFax unit works as advertised as a stand alone Fax Server. I set it up to receive all incoming faxes and then email them immediately to my specified email address. I like that I can choose PDF format when it sends out the email as it makes it very easy to read faxes with multiple pages from a smart phone. Install of the server software was straight forward, you need to install the software to do the initial setup on the unit, once set up it can act independently or you can use the software to access all faxes. I also set up the option to save all incoming and outgoing faxes to a specified network folder, works as advertised. I did have one issue with the print driver during install but was assisted by Anrey who assisted in getting this corrected, I had an old print driver and just needed the updated one. Anrey is very professional and has great knowledge of the product, there is a time difference but I was assisted in less than 24 hours. I would recommend this product to others, I have now been using it for just about one month with no issues.

Easy to set up and use, works as advertised, excellent support
This device has thus far provided excellent, secure fax service for my business, both receiving and sending. Most efax services charge by the page. We have a large volume of documents that we fax daily and we were getting killed on the page overage fees. The Cimsun H5 has been a perfect solution to our problem. The device was easy to set up, install and use. The software interface was relatively easy to figure out, especially on a MAC, and the user manual was very easy to use. I was very impressed with Cimsun service. Maintenance work by our ISP caused a router reset which caused an IP address conflict in the device. Within an hour or reporting the problem Cimsun contacted me and we set up a TeamViewer meeting with a Cimsun technician (Arny). We were able to quickly troubleshoot the problem, manually reset the device and solve the issue. The only inconvenience was the time difference. Would purchase again

Good unit for the price. Great support.
1) Although our setup was for only 6 users, the administrative function does not allow monitoring individual outgoing faxes in order to help resending a fax if it was not sent successfully. It will sit in that individual's outbox until that person checks it and sometimes it would be couple hours later or too late. I was told that there will be a software upgrade to have this feature added at the next revision and they will email me the patch.2) The unit is capable of sending and receiving faxes up to 33.6K but often time we have to set both to 14.4K to work with most systems out there especially toll free and VoIP numbers. The support team was extremely helpful to work with us trying to get the system up and running during the first week. They even Fedex from China a brand new unit to exchange a defective one that I received from Amazon. The drawback is that due to different timezone, the exchange communication usually happens at night or by email for the following day instructions. For the price, I would purchase a 2nd unit when they come out with new upgrades as mentioned.

Nice, but needs Linux support.
This does everything it says it does, such as allowing you to send/receive faxes straight from your computer. But one thing I was disappointed to find out when I navigated to their website in an attempt to locate software for it, was that they offer zero Linux support. Windows? Yes. Android? Yes. Mac? Yes. Linux? No.Why this is, when Mac OS is a UNIX / LINUX based OS, is a mystery. You would think if they can get it to work with Mac, that they could get it to work with Linux as well, but, apparently not.So, if you work in Linux, you might have to pass on this unless you want to set up a Windows virtual machine in your Linux machine to run a fax server. Or set up another computer entirely. Either or.

Works well
I really only needed an A5, but when I shopped, I saw an H5 return for $89… nice to save $600. Installed into my Legrand cabinet. The log is still there from previous owner.. looks like many failed attempts at 33.6k baud. I wonder if he only had VOIP service and not an analog landline? I set mine to 14.4k and am on a 1G fiber line with VOIP telephone jack on the ONT. Been using with no problems. Quick and easy. The iOS app keeps asking to upgrade to a cloud account… I don’t know what for.. I thought it’s all local? Maybe for remote access?I remember the days of faxmodems, and then designating a separate computer to act as a fax server… that’s what these are basically, without having to build one… also uses much less power than a server or desktop computer acting as a fax server.Anyway, was glad to get this cheaper than a regular fax machine.
