We have been making drip coffee one cup at a time for years. We have used a dark plastic drip gizmo with a gold mesh reusable filter. We have to replace the filter about once per year or so due to tears. I happened upon this stainless steel filter with stand at a time when my other filter was still intact, but I was so intrigued I purchased it. So glad I did! This one-piece stainless steel filter and stand is perfect! It is attractive and cleans up easily. The one-piece design means it is one less thing to wash and store. I love the way it is designed so that I can see into the coffee cup below as the coffee is dripping through the filter so I know exactly when the coffee level is what I want. And the coffee tastes great!UPDATE: We loved this filter so much that we purchased a second one. With two, we can more easily prepare 2 cups of coffee at the same time. We immediately noticed that one filter drips very slowly and the other lets the water pour right through..We have received numerous emails from Mastexx that started arriving on the expected date of delivery. Each email asks us to please leave positive feedback on amazon. They boast their desire to provide great customer service and ask to be notified if there are any problems. I contacted Mastexx, per their instructions, letting them know about the difference in the flow of water through the two filters. I received NO RESPONSE! Even though I initially left the above positive (5 star) feedback on amazon, and even though I did contact them with a problem, the emails asking for positive feedback and any and all concerns continue to fill my email inbox.I have downgraded my assessment of these filters from 5 stars to 3 because of the inconsistency of the product and the LACK of customer service.I would like to point out that both filters look identical and I can visually detect no problems to explain the difference in their performance.UPDATE #2: It has been several weeks now and we have used these stainless steel coffee filters daily. By now, the filters are clogged to the point of being unusable. The water just sits in the cone and does not move through at all. I have tried various cleaning methods and ideas, my own as well as ideas I gleaned from researching the Internet, and nothing has helped. The company does not respond to inquiries and offers no hint as to how to alleviate the clogs or how to prevent clogs. They do not even acknowledge that clogs occur. At this point, the filters are useless and we have returned to using the gold mesh filters that we had used for years. The gold mesh filters do tear after some time (one to two years or more requiring replacement, but they have never clogged and have proved their usefulness.For the third time I am downgrading the number of stars I have given to this product. I started with 5, downgraded to 3, and now 1 star is more than it deserves.

This is the way to go! For one cup of coffee. No worries about a filter and it cleans easily! I am very happy with this item. I have two complaints. Well one complaint and one issue. Mine came slightly bent so the coffee sometimes pours off the side which is my issue...I wish the base was a little larger for the bigger mugs. We have so many sizes mugs these days. Anyhow, I love it otherwise!

The flat part that keeps it above the cup breaks easy. The whole point of getting this was to stop using paper filters but you might as well cause they're way easier to remove the coffee grounds while these, theres no avoiding getting some down the drain

This item was great at first and I really liked it, but after 3 months it seems like the filter has gotten clogged. It takes a really long time for my coffee to drip out and I've always taken great care of it by washing immediately after use.

Can be used with chemex filter if you want ultra filter coffee. Works great, even for espresso grind. Filters quite well for a steel screen. Very little dregs compared to their filters I've used. Part of the household now!

great better than expected

Does a great job for one cup of coffee at a time. Takes some getting use to, but it works perfectly.

This is a very nice filter. It does the job - easy to clean and environment friendly - no paper filters needed.
