Easy to build/ fun
GREAT VALUE AND QUALITY. Airfix is very good model company. These snap together models are ideal for 8 and up. My 8 year old put it together in less than 45 minutes. The snap together tank tracks took a little longer ,but they stay together. An adult will need to help adjust them a little. You can YouTube it to see how easy it is to assemble. He was super excited at his first 1/35 scale tank. I highly recommend this brand . Stay away from those block builds for this age group. The helicopter was a piece of cake to put together for my 10yr old. The tank was a little more because of the track system was a little more complicated but I help my 8yr old through it and he was very happy with outcome. Good buy on both items.

Nice model
I was looking for an intermediate scale between 1/32 and 1/48 to go with my 1/32 WW2 figures and 1/38 scale vehicles and this worked perfectly. The wingspan measures exactly 10 inches so this puts the scale right at 1/39. It was easy to assemble even for an old 66 year old like me, not having built a model in over 40 years. Took me maybe 30 minutes? I definitely needed the instructions though. I think this model could have been made with fewer pieces. Once together I noticed the wing assembly was not that solid so I glued the smaller pieces that make up the wings. I also glued the little red knob to the propeller to keep the propeller from popping off once assembled. Once I applied the decals I then sprayed a few coats of Krylon clear coat to permanently adhere the decals. Will definitely get the P51 and Spitfire models.

Fun replica that is surprisingly accurate.
My son and I like these and have gotten the BF-109E and the Spitfire MkII. They are good size and fun to put together and play with. These are early war variants of these Aircraft however the P-51 is the later war, D variant. The 109 is completely accurate and matches everything you see. If you are going to get the Spitfire make sure to look at all of the pictures. The Spitfire is not actually as dark in color as it is shown on the box and in the first completed image. As you can see in the other pics, all of the colors are in fact lighter then on the box image. The canopy and stand are much lighter then the ones that came with the 109. I prefer the darker ones on the 109 as you can see the lego like connectors in the Spitfire's canopy because it is so light. Also the stickers for the Spitfire are not good. The lettering for the side of fuselage is a light grey and not dark at all You can't even see the letters once you put it on. My son and I just pulled them back off and cut the roundels out and just put those on it and it looks much better. These are surprisingly accurate. I see many models of these aircraft and many of them take different parts from different variants and basically create and aircraft that never really existed. In fact these are accurate enough that I was able to tell you the variant even though it's not listed.

Excellent therapy for seniors
I've bought a series of these for my 90 year old father who suffered a traumatic brain injury after a fall. He always loved building models and he can do these on his own - they are just the right level to challenge and engage him without frustrating him or being too easy. I'll keep buying them for him!

Short time of enjoyment
Yes, to my grandson. This is another one that he has that I had bought through Amazon. He enjoyed putting it together for the hour or so that it took. He needs something more challenging.

Eh...stick with Lego
Fun to play with, but do not stay together at all. Really just for display. Stickers don't stay in place well either.

Fun and easy
Really fun and cool 3D puzzle plane! Looks great even if it isn’t the same scale as the 1/72 fighter jets.

Awesome product for grandkids
Quite simple to assemble with the grandkids and looks fantastic when done. Suggestion is to augment assembly with plastic modelers glue so it holds up during missions flown by a 5 year old pilot.
