Would i use this before or after putting my hyaluronic acid on? i’ve been putting it on after but not sure if i’ve been doing it correctly

My dermatologist told me to layer my serums. She said to do the retinol first. Then hyaluronic acid serum. Then a moisturizer with an spf I prefer to use a mattifying moisturizer after the serums have thoroughly dried. Hope this helps.

8% retinol ? this needs clarification. my understanding is the max otc retinol is 2.5% please explain. thank you!

the max otc retinol is 1% — however that’s pure retinol... there are about 4,000 retinoids which are derivatives of retinol (but aren’t themselves pure retinol) which can legally (not unlawfully) be called retinol due to some loophole i guess because it is officially retinol yet it is not officially retinol, ya know — so since this is 8% “retinol” and 4% retinyl that’s a combined 12% retinoid-product which I believe is still above the legal limit for retinoids (10%) so the only answer I can come up with is that the “retinol” they use is a pre-packaged solution and they use 8% of whatever is in that bottle... like how “100% hyaluronic acid” is actually “made with 100% hyaluronic acid” but the actual product itself only contains about 1% hyaluronic acid, another loophole, made with doesn’t mean consists of, even though it should...

That is the whole list? there are really only four ingredients? retinol, lactic acid, vitamin a, & retinyl palmitate?
