Q: Can this be used with a chain attached to a river anchor?

I'm not sure what a river anchor is. I use mine in the Gulf of Mexico. My Anchor is connected to the lead chain & then to the 5mm cord. P.S. I found out in using the guide during retrieval the cord rides up the roller side & gets stuck between the roller & the metal bracket. This happened every time. I cured the problem with a short PVC tube mounted on the loop. Cut a hole in the side of the PVC large enough for the chain to pass through.

I did not see a smaller one listed. I use mine in the Gulf of Mexico & have no problem retrieving 100 ' with chain & anchor.
