Excellent quality, and very pretty
These pens are very pretty. If you like gel pens, I highly recommend this brand. They roll smoothly and the ink flows nicely. It always has pretty colors too. They’re great for writing with, but they’re also fun to use for embellishing coloring sheets.

Gellyroll brand
These silver shadowed pens are a great addition to my gellyrolls. I use for my card art : love the color varieties and ink flow. For me, this brand is a must & reliable purchase. These silver take a minute to dry, but I love the effect.

Completely unique gel pen -- highly recommended to anyone who loves gel pens or writing utensils in general!
I journaled religiously in my late teens and all throughout my twenties, and had an absolute passion for writing utensils. I had a preferred mechanical pencil (Staedtler .9mm soft lead), a preferred pen (Pilot Precise V7 in dark blue, green or purple), preferred fountain pens (utensil of choice for my journals -- Staedtler and Parker calligraphy pens (thick nib), just the inexpensive ones with multi-colored ink choices), and in extremely special cases I used a very special gel pen that was silvery with a thread of color through it. I didn't remember what they were called, and when I happily revived my passion for all things drawing and writing I went a-hunting. Soon enough I discovered the Sakura Gelly Roll Silver Shadow pens (Sakura 58530 5-Piece Gelly Roll Assorted Colors Silver Shadow Pen Set). THESE WERE IT! THE MAGICAL MISSING PENS FROM MY YOUTH! I was thrilled to find them again, and even more thrilled to find them on Amazon. My husband recently became a trucker, and we both carry a notebook with us, which we write in, and then when we see each other every 3-4 weeks we swap. I've been using these Silver Shadow pens because they're beautiful, and they bring me right back to those heady days when I could wander the isles of stores like Hobby Lobby and Dick Blick for hours. They work just as I remembered, mostly silver with a thin thread of color on the inside starting out, but as the ink dries the color bleeds to the outside and the silver stays in the center, so it's really more like a color shadow than a silver shadow. Still, it's exactly as I remembered and exactly what I wanted and I'm delighted to be using them again.I've attached an image, I accidentally lost the lid to the green one (there's orange, blue, purple, pink and green) so it's not looking so hot, but you can get the idea from the rest of them!

Beautiful addition to lettering or for tracing
Lovely way to trace and add two colors (whatever color the pen is plus the gold outline). The color will initially be the color of the pen, and will quickly change to add the gold outline. Adds a very classy look to my cards and scrapbook pages.

Beautiful ink, writes well, bleeds through paper, slow to dry
These pens write beautifully, they glide easily across paper and write continuously and smoothly. The ink itself looks great, and the interesting shadow/two-tone effect is fantastic!I have some minor concerns though, the ink comes out *thick* and bleeds through most normal paper (I've been using them in a standard moleskine) which has generally meant I could not use both sides of a page (it's bad enough that it would become an unreadable mess on both sides if I tried). The ink also takes just a little too long to dry, as a result, so it may be prone to smudging if you're in a hurry. And naturally as a result of the quick ink delivery, these pens don't last very long. If you write a little every day I wouldn't expect one of these particular types to last more than a couple weeks at best.If you aren't worried about the bleeding or drying times though, these pens are really neat! If those sound like they might be a concern though I'd urge you to take a look at some of the other types of Gelly Roll pens, they don't exhibit nearly as much of an issue.

I cannot stress enough how much I LOVE these pens
I cannot stress enough how much I LOVE these pens! I used to have a ton of these about fifteen years ago and I just loved them. They aren't available in any stores nearby and I'd totally forgotten about them until I stumbled upon them a few months ago. I was hestitant to get them because I've been getting Papermate gel pens from Walmart for years now and I've really liked them.Getting these again was absolutely worth it. They write a lot smoother and looks absolutely amazing on paper. I use these at work to write notes while talking to customers and just love the feel of writing with them. Some pens you have to put a little pressure to get the right look, but with these it requires much less pressure and shows a bolder text due to it's thicker point.Color wise, there is a great assortment and most of them look great -- personally, I didn't care of the look of the orange one because it looked more like a metallic dark orange and I was hoping for something a little brighter. Otherwise, these are great pens for those who enjoy the feeling of using an actual gel pen.

Unexpected!
The media could not be loaded. Although these aren’t the pens I was looking for, they are very nice to write with. The outline of color is faint and my brain would yell at me if I tried to read writing with these pens for too long. The stroke is smooth, the sound against the paper is just right and the silver is strong. It will shed silver if you rub it after it dries… so don’t do that.If these are pens you’re looking for, buy them.
