My cat Sophie is about to turn 17 years old. She’s deaf and has been steadily losing weight over the past year. Her previous wet food she would barely touch anymore but I saw this Purina wet food and thought I would see if she would eat. She actually seems to like it better than her original food. She still leaves about a 1/4 of a can with each feeding but she’s definitely taking in more calories and her hair feels softer. Obviously she has underlying health issues going on but I’m glad I made the switch to this. She definitely likes the taste and there are definitely more expensive wet food on the market. (Note: She’s still deaf so it’s not a cure for hearing loss but she’s putting a little more weight back on.)

My senior kitty decided she didn't like dry food any longer & just quit eating. Maybe it's her teeth, I don't know. So, I have spent the entire year trying different canned foods for her..... she turned up her nose to all of them & began losing weight at an alarming rate. I finally hit upon Purina Pro Plan High Protein Senior Wet Cat Food Pate & she gobbles it down. She even meows to be fed now! I'm just so happy that I've found this food that my girl kitty will actually eat... and now she's beginning to put back on some of the weight she had lost. Thank you Purina for this senior cat food!

Pricey moist can food but good nutritional blends for a senior cat.

This food helps my older cat with her digestion and is not harsh on her stomach. Some other brands caused her to have an upset stomach.

we have a 19 year old and 16 year old kitty, and this is their FAVORITE food. Rocky starts meowing as soon as he see's the can :)

My cats love this, I only wish ProPlan would offer subscriptions for this flavor for 11+ senior cats. One of my cats has digestive problems and she is able to keep this down with no difficulties.

i have a bonded pair of siblings/littermates that are happily living their golden years, they're turning 15 this year and both healthy—for the most part. brother is a bit overweight, so i knew it was time to kick up the amount of wet food they eat to replace the calorically denser dry food they're fed via an automatic feeder in small portions thru the day.i appreciate the simple ingredients and always know to go for pate as it has the highest whole meat content, and that this is SPECIFICALLY for super seniors. I split 1 can between them at mealtimes and add bone broth or water for extra moisture, a rotate a few additional supplements throughout the week. so far they love it, no sour or upset tummies, and they're in great spirits!

My cat has been eating regular wet cat food because she can’t digest dry kibble and she’s very finicky. I’d mix her food with water so she was getting her h2o’s. I was feeding her 3x day and she was looking really thin. I finally figured out that she probably wasn’t getting good nutrition from her food so I looked into food for elderly cats (she’s 19). This food isn’t cheap, but bought it to see if it made a difference. Boy did it! First, she devoured it (gave her small helpings to start). I incorporated pro plan and cut back portions if her regular food. I’ve noticed a difference in her energy level, muscle mass, and coat. If your cat is elderly, it might be worth getting this. I’m sorry I took so long to get this! She loves it!
