Not durable
First, it is not silent, merely very quiet. You can still hear a faint ticking sound, although this isn't a big deal. The bigger problem is that, like others, I have found that this clock works great for about a year, then the alarm stops working. It now jams at the alarm time for about 20 minutes before unjamming itself, and the alarm doesn't actually go off.Edit: My bad, I assumed it was the battery but tried it with a replacement battery that was also duff. When I used a fresh battery it started working again.

Loud
Very loud indeed. You could fire a cannon next to my head and I'd still be asleep, but this clock actually wakes me up.

Lost Half an Hour in Ten Days
The clock looks good but sadly, it doesn't keep time accurately. I put new batteries in it when I received it and set the correct time but after running for only ten days, it was running half an hour slow. The price was I paid was just under ten pounds, so my hopes weren't exactly high, but the basic function of telling the right should be a baseline, even for a cheap clock. Binned mine and re-ordered a replacement from a different supplier.Other reviews seem generally positive, so perhaps they're not always rubbish, but in my case, it was... So, buyer beware, pay ten pounds and you might get a bargain but you might just get a clock-shaped paper weight.

Needs attention
The battery cover does not fit correctly and the battery spring is too strong. This forces the battery to fall out of the clock. I have to keep the battery cover in place using Duct Tape.

It tells the time accurately.
It is a very flimsily made clock hence the price. At the moment it gives accurate time and t has a very loud of alarm which is what Ii needed. I cannot hear he usual alarms .How long it will last being flimsy and cheap is another matter but at the moment it is working well.
