These guys were more on the serious Rocker side of the 80s, not just a glam band but serious players that added metal into their sound. envision Motley Crew, Skid Row, Tesla and you have the idea. The proverbial torch-bearers of the Midwest metal scene, this powerhouse dates back to 1989 and the second great sexual revolution of our culture. Helltown Hotel documents plenty of attitude and gives us an unobstructed view of the evolution of Felony from their earlier no-frills metal sound, with songs like the blood-pumping Mississippi Rollin to songs like Well of Souls which chronicle the darker, heavier version of the later day. Representing their unbridled lifestyle and way of performing, the term Helltown has become synonymous with all things that are Felony. The band were touring giants as they attracted a loyal following and sold out legendary hot spots throughout the Midwest and all over the country including the Troubadour, Ritz Music Hall, Razzmatazz, The Loft, Bentley s, Zanie s, Sudsy Malone s, and The Vogue amongst others with the record s signature track Heist in Helltown being perhaps the band s most recognizable hit. Nearly 20 years later, the buzz surrounding Felony still remains.

very underrated band
This band is fantastic and their music proves it.Hellton meltdown is well written and played by tommy lee/micheal p smley ,jeff a parker ,shawn c nuget ,and john e williams.The first couple of songs sound the same then to the core ,lost in the closet -my favorite, days of disease, another hero,mississippi rollin, and shatterd innonce ,they are great songs .They sort of sound like vain with a touch of telsa in them .In the cd notes it says the band is recording new material i cant wait for more felony.I hope this review was helpfull to you

Excellent Rock n Roll!
This is a great album! Well written with great sound,catchy lyrics and musicianship! I highly recommend it. The Felony band is a legend of their time!

モトリー・クルーやスキッド・ロウタイプ
上記バンドの音、つまり80年代後半のハードロックサウンドにヴィンス・ニールだったり、アクセル・ローズぽいヴォーカルが乗るタイプ。リフはオーソドックスながらもエッジーな音が気持ち良く、う特にギターソロは爽快感があり耳を引くものがあります。ボーナストラックのライブは音質が悪いのであくまでもオマケ程度に。
