Fly Colt Fly is a feature length documentary about teenage fugitive Colton Harris-Moore, whose superhuman ability to escape capture by stealing airplanes and living in the wilderness made him the modern day folk hero of a new generation. Fusing documentary, graphic novel style animation, and dramatic recreations, the film contrasts the story of a real kid who fell into burglary to keep from starving with his mass media persona, The Barefoot Bandit. While telling Colt’s larger-than-life story, this film examines the public fascination with underdog anti-heroes and how fame becomes the kiss of death for these outlaws we root for.

This doc is hella interesting
This kid might be a reincarnation of Howard Hughes. I think this young man is extraordinary. He will do good in the future. I think he is a good person that did some bad things to survive. He did no physical harm to anyone. Those who met him had only good things to say about him. Now that he has had a taste of prison life, I don't think he will go back that way again. The production is of this film is perfect from beginning to end. I watched this movie 4 times. This kid is amazing. I believe he will do good things in the future. The animation was a plus as there was no actual filming of the breaking and entering and police chases. This story sounds like some fiction movie we would go to the theatres to see. I would definitely see a movie about him if it comes out. I wonder had this person been of color would he be treated the same way by the public and the force??? I wonder why this movie was so fascinating to me? I was routing for this boy.

Entertaining if nothing else
Well made but as other reviews have stated, it would have been nice to get more in depth into WHY Colt did what he did or at least some more back story than just a few short sentences. The WHY is what people are wanting to find out. It's visually pleasing and the animated bits add some spectacle, but this film lacks heart for the amazing story it's telling.
