2 Disc Special Edition.
The edition I've got is the 2005 2 disc Special Edition.Film run time is 1 Hour 54 Minutes with the 2nd disc of bonus features running for 1 Hour 7 Minutes.English subtitles for the hearing impaired.Astounded with the film when it came out in 1998, fresh and innovative and breathing life into the British gangster film genre and with a wild streak of comedy unseen in this type of violent British extravaganza although a very remote relative might have been the beautifully whimsical 'The Ladykillers', Ealing's 1955 black comedy. I know I'm stretching things and I know that the Ealing film is forever watchable for its tweeness.Sadly 'Lock, Stock ....' does look somewhat dated when viewed today though I found it very enjoyable despite it showing its creakiness. Its pace keeps the film watchable, its almost clumsy and coincidental connections still entertain and the actors were made for the roles that they played, something rare but it always works when the actors fit those parts like a glove. Vinnie Jones was special and Dexter Fletcher showed enough talent to be cast in that monumental epic 'Band Of Brothers' in an important role. And of course Jason Statham went on to become our own version of Sly and Arnie in the action genre. The others ? Quietly or loudly efficient in their roles including 'The Guv', not to be crossed, even on an Amazon review! The comedy is dry and wry, there is a fair amount of violence and a bit of blood. No sex or nudity.Picture and sound perfectly acceptable, it's dark and dour and sleazy and will never look any better if given a makeover in my view. It's perfect as it is in all its glory.

Just a great movie for 16 year old to 80s
It may be showing it’s age but it’s still a great movie that is well put together and just makes you laugh. Snatch get all the glory but it would not exist without this movie. If you haven’t seen it you won’t be disappointed and if you have but it was a long time ago, it’s well worth reminding yourself how good it was, it has a great cast, with a few surprises who you will recognise but forgot were in it, such as Rob Brydon, Sting to name but 2. The fantastic Liverpool stereo type thieves and great sound track you can not fail to enjoy

This Is A Copy!!!
NB: The DVD was a copy onto a blank disc, but this item was received strangely with what appeared to be factory sealed in cellophane. Was also forced to actually give a star rating prior to posting, really wanted to give zero stars

A real winner from Guy Ritchie
A great British film, starring Vinnie Jones, as, well, himself, and Jason Statham, who always plays himself. A very compicated story about four mates who get roped into a crooked poker game and have to come up with some serious money to get themselves out of lots of trouble. Tom and Jerry style violence and humour throughout, and if the cockney gets too hard to understand, at one point it's even got subtitles. A brilliant brilliant film. Great story with interesting, colourful characters
A rigged card game with the local gangster starts a cascade of events that kills most of the characters. A great sound track and the narration by Alan Ford sets the tone of the film perfectly. The blu-ray version is definitely an improvement over the DVD in every way.

Everything you need for a classic is here
Great Film when it first came out and still is today.Thank god it;s not on the TV otherwise they would be playing it to death every week like they are doing with, The Equalizer, Red, The Expendables to name but a few then we would all get sick of it and it would slip into obscurity.Great Film.Great Acting. (even by Vinny jones) .... who knew!Fantastic Storyline......Brill!

Extended pleasure!
This is quite possibly one of my favourite 1990's films, but this is the first time I've ever seen the Director's cut version because I was curious to see which parts were cut out. Having seen it I can say that it's a bit of a mixed bag over the various choppings, some of them (like the card game scenes) I can see why they went because they don't add much to the film, and some of it would have actually detracted from the film's appeal, in my opinion, particularly the needless use of the C word. However there is quite a lot about why Big Chris is who he is, which I think might have explained to some people more about his character. Overall I think I prefer the original version, and this is of curiosity value and interest, but no doubt this was fresh and original at the time and remains an essential viewing.

Gangster makeover of 'Only fools and horses'
I watched this because it's tagged with "number 5 in the UK"Over-hyped in my opinion and not my thingI love Goodfellas, Godfather and Once upon a time in America etc etc, but this, I just found annoying.Couldn't get past 30 minutes.
