perfect fit
The safety is a perfect fit and much easier to manipulate over the factory one. It also is nice to have the color since the Mossberg's safety is located in a unique position. It makes it stand out for new operators so they can quickly remember where it is. I am used to the location of a safety on Remington so it is helpful for me.

Return
I returned this because I couldn’t get my tamper proof screw off. Product seemed fine and good quality.

Fits just fine on a 500
Sure it'll fit any tang mounted safety on a 500/590. Its fit and finish is nice. Ensure you use the little steel plate under the polymer safety, as this safety won't move without it. Don't lose your spring or ball detent and you're good to go.I've ordered one in the past, and needed another. That says it all. Go ahead and get one, you won't regret it.

100% worth it!!
I have injured my right thumb and hand several times and don’t have a ton of strength in it to flip safeties. While the original safety on my 590 and Shockwave was bearable I came across these and decided to give them a shot. What a worthwhile upgrade! Easy to install, smooth the operate, and seem to be decent quality. Getting another soon for a friends birthday.

Good Product but Not Smooth
I got this installed on my 590A after about an hour of messing with it. I'm very used to working with guns and I lost the detente ball when I took the stock safety off. The new safety appears to be good quality aluminum and has a hex key rather than the OEM single-way screw. What I did not anticipate however is that while the plastic OEM safety is weak it also allowed some room for the detente ball to move under it. The result of installing this one is an extremely stiff safety. I can operate it one handed as intended however my wife is completely incapable of moving it, even with both hands and she's not weak. If you don't have very good grip strength it might be worth looking at a different model.

Perfect fit. You must dissemble the weapon to install this despite what the instructions say

Be sure to use very thin metal shim on factory safety with this product and it works fine…
I guess this will hold up better than the plastic safety from factory….seems like it’s much stronger and I like it better
