Did the person who gave the "rip off" review actually weigh the package? It is sold as 2.3 pounds. If that's what it weighs, you weren't ripped off.

Forget about him, some people just don't get it. Product is sold by how much you get weight for solids or volume for liquids not by how full a container is. A lot of times, suppliers can't get smaller containers because of supply chain shortages, or no good options available. Due to this, they must repurpose different containers. The fact that a container is half empty doesn't mean you are getting ripped off, it just means they don't have a smaller container to package it in. What this guy doesn't realize is, if he got the full container, the price would have to be twice as high to cover the extra quantity of material. Honestly, I don't see how anyone could not figure this out on their own. I guess it's just easier to get angry than to stop and use your brain for a second.

Does this product get moldy after a few days?

I did not notice it getting moldy, even when it rained. I had a really bad snail infestation and I had to use it every two weeks to get things under control.

How is this product applied?

I have a simple rectangular backyard so I hose down the areas all around the perimeter along the fence to catch the snails & slugs that come in from those areas. Next, I hose down all around the plants & apply it there to catch the critters that are already around the plants. You will still need to check your plants for slugs & snails often, but this product makes a big difference. I tested it out by putting a big slugs on a solid surface & then put a couple of these pellets next to it, the slugs made a B-line for it & began noshing on it... it didn't even care that I nudged it gently with a twig!
