Does not work
Waste of money. I left the two of them out in direct sunlight the entire day and they never charged. They do blink when using the usb cable but they do not turn off. Going to just throw them in the trash.

Excellent deterrent
Excellent deterrent, looks like an alarm or recording device is present. And they do last quite a long time with the solar recharging.

Charging by sun feature doesn't work
You can charge these with a USB and they will go a week at a time running 24/7. They also have a little switch to turn them on and off if you want to do that and they will last even longer. As the title of this little piece says, though, the charging by sun feature isn't worth a darn. I still use them anyway, though, just for the blinking LED and hopefully its deterrent effect. One day, if they keep going, I will have to crack them open to replace the batteries, but so far they still hold a very good charge. Overall, for the money, I'm pretty happy with this purchase.

Dim blinking Blue light, reconsider if you have dark tinted windows
Due to the looks and construction of the device I am worried whether it will actually charge by solar power. I saw other reviews where consumers reported that it did not charge from solar power. However, when the package arrived, the device did turn on immediately when the switch was activated. The blue light was very dim when first turned on and therefore I charged it via USB cable. The light did get a little bit brighter while it was charging.

You will need to charge these before they are fully functional. Fortunately, I had the right sized charger. Otherwise, you have to rely on the sun and in the winter here in Canada, that won’t happen. I will have to re-charge these by peeling them off of the car & taking them to my charging source. Too bad they didn’t come with any instructions AND I have no way of knowing how long the charge will last. It would be helpful to know.So, in order for this device to get 5 stars, it would need instructions included, the correct size wire for charging AND more adhesive tape so they stick better & longer.
