I got the amulet of Mara after playing Skyrim for the 200th time and got the urge to find someone to bear my burdens with me IRL at the ripe old age of 34. The amulet is metal and yet not exactly heavy. The chain is a little long and gets caught in my chest hair, but that's a me problem, not a Mara problem. As for the build quality, it has held up well for a few weeks with 24/7 use. Mara has blessed me with no less than 4 aspiring mates in the few weeks I have adhered to her teachings, but unfortunately, they were not my types. I will continue to wear the amulet of Mara until a soulmate with the desired traits presents themselves, which I imagine will be sometime in the next few months if the numbers and quality continue to increase with time as it has so far. Overall, I'm 100% satisfied and would definitely buy again.

The Pendant: At 1 1/2 inches, it's small—much smaller than the big amulet in the game. It also lacks thickness. The metal is a cheap bronze painted well to look like antique brass. Wear it too much, and the sweat/oils will damage that finish. The center "gem" is just plain, light-blue paint—not a deep, rich stone. I would look into replacing it, since removing a rock and glueing a better one in is simple enough. The Chain: Just a cheap, generic link chain. It's not game-accurate and is too short for a proper long-hanging fantasy amulet(which is better for its adopted necklace style) Verdict: Good, instantly recognisable fan display piece. Don't buy it expecting screen-accurate size, weight, or material quality.

I love skyrim so much! As I played the game, I became interested in the characters of the story and one of them mentions a being named Mara who is about love and marriage. In the game, the amulet of Mara is basically a way of stating "Hey, I'm single. Who wants to marry me?" I bought for my Skyrim cosplay at the ren faire. It's a thin but beautiful necklace that is definitely worth the price.

Quality of the amulet is OK but the chain is awful

Chain feels like most cheap necklaces but you could just replace it tbh. The pendant itself is the star. She's gorgeous. Can't wait to tell hot nerds I'm single and ready to mingle.

Good quality. Not everyday wear though probably would hold up.
