It absolutely works......don't know how, but it does!!!!!
Something died in the wall of my house between the living room and garage. It was unbearable. In desperation, because I don't have the means to tear out a wall, I looked for something to diminish the sickening smell. I read reviews on Smelleze and purchased two bags. I placed one in an opening wear a pipe goes under the house, near the area and another underneath the house. The first day, it smelled so much worse, I thought the product didn't work but the second day, the odor is gone. I mean gone. I don't know how it does it but it works, and I wanted to share this with anyone in the same situation. Yes, I know I will need to have whatever it was removed from the wall, but for now, this was amazing and well worth the money spent. Thank you, Smelleze, nothing sadder than a room with a beautiful Christmas tree, smelling like decay....I can enjoy the space again!

Skeptical but actually works!
We bought this after a rat died in our basement behind a brick wall (we couldn't just punch a hole and re-patch it.) I was very skeptical that it would work, and since it is unscented it did not work immediately. We hung it from the ceiling of our storage room and turned a fan on. (Air circulation helps with decomposition and moving the smell around.) The next morning the smell was GREATLY reduced. The pungent odor was gone. We could smell a faint odor but it's not the knock-out punch smell that we had 24 hours ago. The "death" smell is gone. I feel like we could probably even turn on our AC. (The rat died near our HVAC unit so we aren't thrilled about pumping the smell all over the house. In fact, yesterday we could smell it coming out of our air vents even though the unit wasn't on. Today? No odors are seeping out of our vents.) We had an exterminator over to help us find the entry points and even he was impressed by the lack of smell in the storage room. He told us that we probably have about another 2 weeks until the rat has ceased smelling and I'm glad we have this bag of wonder. It has made our home livable. We haven't tried "recharging it" but it seems straightforward. I hope we never have to use it again! Between this and scented candles, we can get through the next two weeks.

Don’t waste your money
I bought this because I have a dead mouse stuck in the wall in my restroom and it’s making that side of the house smell. I was told this would help but it hasnt done anything to deter the smell. Done waste your money. It’s like it’s not even there.

Worth a buy
Have a dead mouse somewhere in ceiling or wall in my clothes closet. Small area about 5 feet by 3 feet. Closed door. Smell was God awful for 2 days when you opened the door. Put this in on day 3. Shut the door. After 24 hours, definitely a difference in smell. I'm not sure how many days that God awful smell would usually last but can barely smell it now. Coincidence? Probably not. Worth a $20 try.

This product did not work quickly but the location of the smell from a dead rodent was in a very tight spot near the motor of my SUV. It was a metal shelf-like ledge. The odor came into the SUV on the passenger side, near the glove compartment but the cabin filter did not have any odor. I put the Smelleze on the floor of the SUV right under the glove compartment but this did not work at all. After 4 days, I took some of the Smelleze out of the bag so I could fit it right onto the metal ledge under the hood of my SUV. I had to really push it down so it sat right on top of the ledge where the nest had been. After about 5-7 more days the odor was about gone. I think this will finally get rid of the odor but because the area was in such an occluded space, it had to be placed right on top.

Works well to eliminate “dead mouse” odor. Rejuvenating the product works well too.
I get about 1-3 mice a year in a crawl space in my basement. I set up sticky traps in the opening to catch them. But I don’t always check often enough & the mouse stuck to a sticky trap gives off the usual “dead mouse” smell. I triple bag the sticky trap W/attached mouse and freeze them until trash day. I’ve used microwave method to eliminate any residual odor in the product in the past.. It works great. Unfortunately the refill I ordered at the same time wasn’t in the box though “my orders” on Amazon said it had arrived. I r requested a replacement using chat (didn’t seem like a person so assume is automated). If it arrives, all went well w/this order but next time I’ll order the refill container separately to decrease possibility of the refill being omitted. Not a big deal since I’ll be using the original inside the cloth bag for a while as these last a long time since it can be rejuvenated (from past experience that works well). For past orders, microwaving to “regenerate” or remove the odor from the product has worked great. But when it’s warm enough, I’m going to try putting it in the sun when it needs “rejuvenating” as after putting it in a microwave that I cook food in makes me a bit nervous so I clean/disinfect the inside of the microwave to make sure it’s sanitary (likely the microwave killed anything that might cause that but dead mice creep me out) I don’t recall the option of putting it in the sun to rejuvenate in the past, but I probably just missed it when reading instructions on back of package. I’d recommend it as it definitely removes any residual odor which is very noticeable when the mouse dies. Not sure this is humane though. Need to do a better job of filling my bait traps that r outside the house along the side where the mouse usually gets into the crawl space. This year was very cold & only one mouse died. I’d recommend this.

ITS WORKS
I can tell you I had my doubts.. we had a mouse die deep into a bathroom wall.. I spent days trying to figure out where the smell was actually coming from.. my first attempt at a solution was an activated charcoal next to the vent.. the smell was coming out of a void next to the vent.. the activated charcoal helped but didn’t eliminate the smell.. so I bought this product an the other suggested product which is granules of what’s in the bag.. immediately after putting the bag in the void, the smell was gone.. I then places the granules under the sinks where some smell coming from where the pipes go into the wall, also immediately gone.. so instead of waiting it out, or ripping out walls. This is a much better alternative.. 10 out of 10

Not so great
I have a dead mouse behind the dishwasher. It worked a little. Definitely not worth the cost.
