Featherlite "Helix" High Back Office Chair Designed To Adjust & DIY (Mesh,Grey)

Don't be fooled by the hundreds of chinese component chairs available on amazon. 99% of them use the same factory parts and will break down in 1.5 - 2 years. The featherline Helix is sturdy and designed and made in India. I'm a big guy and it handles my weight without any issue. The recline and rocking feature is premium. The headrest feels comfortable. The lumbar support and arm rests could be a little better but those are really minor complaints on a sub 25k chair. This is the chair you need if you're someone who spends more than 6-7 hours sitting during the day.I have the Steelcase Gesture which is 1 lakh + chair and I would rate the Helix just slightly less better than that chair. If you've got a sub 30k budget and plan to use a chair for 5+ years go for the HELIX without any fear.

A premium chair with good fit and finish, with rich feature-set that is usually associated with these chairs. Swivel, height adjustment, arm height, arm pad forward/ reverse, tilt, chair lean back with tightening control and lock, seat back and forward (this is slightly less in terms of movement), lumbar support (the range of movement is low). Wheels are smooth enough. Not sure they have a lock but then I do not require that feature.Preferred this with plastic construction over the chairs with chrome construction as this keeps weight down. Cushioning is good and looks premium, the back support is through stretchable thin material, apart from the lumbar support fixture. Personally, prefer this Grey over black that is usually associated with chairs at work place.Ergonomics would depend on how the chair is set-up. So far no issues with extended seating.Chair does appear slightly tall particularly with the headrest (the chairs with headrest are called HB - High back and the ones without are called MB - Medium back). It would be apparent it is an office chair/ work from home chair and cannot be blended/ mixed with home furniture easily.It is an expensive chair but would tick all/ most boxes if one is looking for a good premium, work from home chair.Was delivered in under a day. Was unpacked, assembled by the delivery agent in about 10 minutes and the packing material carried away. Knew exactly what was required. Delivery was directly from the company.

Excellent chair, got it on a very good deal on Amazon, only issue is that since it's a DIY , might not be a good idea for people who are not savvy or senior citizens to buy this through Amazon, Featherlite being a premium company sadly doesn't offer an installation service which is bad considering this is a very expensive chairBut all in all, it's an excellent choice for people with back issues, comfortable and good in quality

It is an amazing product. Using featherlite for more than 2 decades and this chair is specifically good who needs to sit with forward bending. No other Chair has such comfort or lumbar suport for forward bending sitting professionals requirement such as Pathologists, Microbiologist, or Scientist using microscope.An awesome product comparable to any international brand chair with Value for Money.

The media could not be loaded. Worst part first, This chair is not meant for people shorter than 5'11 or 6ftReason: Large seat and the weird seat shape will give you leg pain in a matter of 30 mins of sitting.This chair is big. And if you are not tall you will end up with the back of your knees fully touching the seat (There should be 2-3 inches gap between the seat and the back of your knees for a comfortable long-hours seating). Moreover, the seat has a weird wedge-like shape (high on the knee side, see pictures) and it pushes against your inner thighs.Result: Blocked blood flow to your lower legs.I get leg pain and numbness in my lower legs just by sitting 30 mins on it. I am 5'8You can sit on the seat edge to avoid this problem but you can do that on a Rs. 5-10k chair as well.Build quality:The cushion, seat fabric and body plastic are high quality and sturdy.But overall this is NOT a premium chair.There is a substantial wobble (lateral wobble, shown in the video) which is very annoying and disturbing. It keeps distracting you if you are working on a task that needs focus. The wobble originates from the iron rod at the bottom that connects the seat to the legs.I did not expect such a problem in a Rs. 26k chair!The castor wheels seem ok quality (time will tell) but the caps on the wheels are such cheap plastic they look like they will fall any moment.Head rest:The head rest is again meant for tall people. It's too high and not adjustable. A head rest (actually neck rest) is supposed to fit in the curve behind your neck. This one will sit behind your head and puts strain on your neck.This is a fairly expensive chair and one wouldn't expect such cheap issues.Try this chair only if you are at least 5'11 and Rs. 26k does not mean a lot to you.

Very easy to assemble, comes with all the parts and tooling needed to assemble at home. It's got everything you need in an office chair: Lumbar support, 4-way adjustable armrests, height adjustment, angle-lock for the back rest, tension adjuster and headrest. If you spend considerable amount of time seated at a desk, I highly recommend you invest in a good chair with a contoured back like this one. It'll do wonders to your back.

One of the holes has not been made in the back seat, which makes it impossible to attach the headrest to the back seat. It's a slight manufacturing defect, but I'm wondering how it's been overlooked by the QA department before it's been dispatched to customers.
