Good Buy - Maximus Outdoor Light and Camera
I purchased two of these and they work as advertised. They were a cinch to install, had no problems with the installation of syncing. I would definitely purchase another if I needed one. I think the cost of keeping the recordings on the cloud is reasonable. I have two and pay around $120/year. The recordings are there for two weeks. That's the price for 2-4 cameras. One camera is half the price. This is perfect for the person that doesn't need or want all the fancy and complicated security system devices. Much better than the ring door bell too.Pros:- Super easy to install- High quality picture in the daytime and at night it's slightly grainy but I can identify the person approaching.- I like the ability to see and talk with someone at my door whether I am home or not. The dog barking sound is nice touch-have not used that yet.- The app allows you to program the light - I have it come on at night only when it senses movement- The light fixture looks nice- I haven't any problems with connectivity, the recordings are good and it notifies me when anyone approaches my door- The app is very easy to workCons:- My only wish is that I could change the angle of the camera a bit more than it allows. My patio light wasn't in the perfect position to get the angle I would like but it does capture anyone entering the patio, so its ok.

great device with some limitations
This is a great device with some limitations. 1. Although I get notice that someone has come to my front door, to get access and communicate to that person is difficult. I have to log into my phone, then figure out how to communicate and after all of this, the individual has departed and I have done nothing. I tried to use the canned messages but run into the same issue. I have yet to be able to use that feature. I do get recordings and videos of each person, however. 2. at night the light does not illuminate until the visitor is within 5 ft of the camera. I would prefer if it lit when they are within 10-15 ft. There is no adjustment for that. 3. The sensitivity appears to be variable. One day it works fine but the next it triggers on each vehicle passing by the house plus visitors. I have tried to play with the sensitivity but all it does is reduce the distance where the visitor triggers the camera, doesn't appear to change the passing auto trigger. All said, it was simple to install, takes good videos, and I am glad to have it.

Looks Great, Sound effects are nice, but sometimes loads slow
I purchased this because I kept getting packages stolen. It's the best looking security camera on the market. I the stye of this sconce, it added to the look of my front door and looks even better than what I expected. The other thing that makes this camera stand out to me is the built-in sound effect options. Unfortunately you cannot create your own so here they are:Sound Effect #1: Chime (Sounds like a robotic wind chime "doo-doo-dee-doo")Sound Effect #2: Man's voice "Hi. We can't answer the door right now, but the camera *is* recording. So please, just, leave us a message. Thanks for coming by."Sound Effect #3: Barking dog (Barks 5 times and snarls)Sound Effect #4: Man's voice "I'm sorry, we're pretty busy right now."Sound Effect #5: Man's voice "Hi! Can I.. help you?"Sound Effect #6: Man's voice "I'm sorry, we're not interested."A few days after installing it, I see a package left at my door by a delivery guy. Since I couldn't come home at the second I turned on sound effect #2 and caught a woman try to steal it! She came up to our door, looked in the windows, reached for the package and on full blast volume she hears "HI! WE CANT ANSWER THE DOOR RIGHT NOW, BUT THE CAMERA *IS* RECORDING......." She was so startled!!!!!!! Her eyes went huge and she walked away, turning back at the sconce. Saved me $50 from the package right there!!One thing I will say is that if you want this type of camera you should have internet that is around 60mbps or faster, and that your cell phone obviously needs to have good internet signal at the time in order for it to pop up fast. If the internet it is connected to is fast, and the internet signal on your phone is good, you can count on it taking 15 seconds to load the video on your phone. If one of those is lacking, it can take several minutes for it to pop up on your phone.Another thing is that the night vision isnt great, but you can get brighter light bulbs for that as explained in other reviews here. I haven't gotten around to doing that yet. I can see the front of my cars but not great and it would be hard to distinguish a face.HERES A TIP: The free version of this product allows you to see a recording for 2 hours. I found a trick on my Galaxy Note 3 phone, and it also works on my husbands LG Power X phone. If it has been 2 hours already and you are careful, you can drag the notification down slowly and it will show a larger image of who is at your door. Be careful not to double tap on the 2 hour expired notification though because if you open it you wont be able to see a screenshot of who was there.
