Melissa & Doug Giant Lion - Lifelike Stuffed Animal (Over 6 feet Long)

I love Melissa and Doug stuffed plush animals and add new ones to my collection from time to time. Their quality is usually exceptional to good. I had only one substandard plush dinosaur in the past but they guaranteed satisfaction and let me choose a replacement product. When I decide to buy lifelike realistic stuffed animals, this is the company I choose. This lifelike lion is wonderful and looks so real, even better than on the Amazon website. It is regal, lightweight, and soft. I bought this to put on my king-size bed (see photos) and I absolutely love it. With this addition, I now have a collection of eight Melissa and Doug plush animals as follows below and I name all of them. It is a wonderful gift for a child or for someone like me who loves to collect (and name) their lifelike plush animals. I also consider the current price of $75 plus tax a good deal.

When I first received this big boy, I thought he was done wrong, because one leg was much longer than the other, and I didn’t remember a mention of this anywhere in the description. I realized that this was intended to simulate the lion lounging, which makes sense. I bought this for a zoo themed trunk or treat decoration, and the kids absolutely adored him! I can’t tell you how many children asked if he was real. LOL. He’s soft, although his mane has a very acrylic feel and is a bit scratchy. The face looks very nice, but it is feels like a semi-rigid plastic form underneath the fabric. Too much pressure against this, and I fear it could be crushed in. He’s large, with a long tail and a sturdy, well proportioned, quality made body. His colors are very realistic and evenly done. There is no bleeding in the fabric, and the stitching is even and complete on all seam lines. While I love many of Melissa and Doug products, they can be a hit or miss on occasion. This one was a hit. Pricey, but worth the cost. He will make a wonderful addition to my grandchildren’s bedroom and I would highly recommend him as a gift for any child (or adult) in love with wild animals.

Big, beautiful lion with the soulful eyes. My grandson loved him right away.

Very lifelike and fun. We bought this lion for our daughter around the time she was 1 — A couple of years ago. She loved this lion so much and had so much fun riding on his back. She turned 3 recently and still loves lions and animals in general. It is a lifelike size with excellent realistic detail. He’s perfect for a small child to to sit on his back and pretend to “ride” him. So I think it’s best to make sure you have enough space to put them on the floor on a soft surface for the most play options. He really is lifelike and great quality. We still have him and I think he’s going to be a permanent fixture for a long time -such a fine magnificent friend.

Exactly what I was looking for a baby boy nursery. Toddler approved also.

I was surprised at the quality of this lion .but Melissa and Doug make the highest quality toys , so I felt confident I wouldn’t be disappointed. I also purchased the giraffe which is even better ! We used both for her 2nd bday , safari party . She was scared at first, this lion is BIG and so realistic ! She loves him now and he is big enough for her to lay on him and watch Disney Chanel . Great purchase .

I was really nervous when I ordered this large stuffed lion, spending over $100 dollars on it, I was a bit concerned about the size or quality I would receive. It is amazing! I am so happy I bought it, it’s so beautiful and majestic looking. I bought this for my Son’s Nursery and I am so excited to watch him grow up with his plush lion. I am very happy with this purchase.
