Best kraut bucket ever!
These are amazing buckets! I’ve always used a crock and the croc is unreliable at times. This was not hard to use. Kraut came out perfectly!

Best kraut fermentor EVER!
I have brewed sauerkraut for over 30 years and have always had to discard the top inch no matter how good a seal I thought I had. I got the 5 gallon round product and shredded 5 soccer ball sized cabbages into a rectangular dishpan, salting and pounding after each head. When done, I mixed all 5 batches together for even salt distribution and packed it down so I had juice on top. I cleaned the sides and inserted ithe inside lid with the gasket and pressed down on it until juice came out of the dome and inserted the plug. AIR TIGHT! Then it was set it and forget it for 28 days. I checked it once a week and the was no mold or slime. Today I wiped down the top of the inside lid and removed it. Underneath was the most perfect kraut that you could imagine. No soft spots at all. It is to bad the product rating only goes to 5 stars, because I would give this a perfect 10! Congrats to the seller for suppling such a wonderful product.

Perfect Small Fermentation Vessel
This is marketed as a kimchi fermenter, which it is, but it's perfect for any small batch vegetable ferment. It's good to go for cucumber pickles, sauerkraut or any other vegetable yo want to ferment. It hold just under 1/2 gallon (.4 gallon or 1.7 liters), seals tight and the inner and outer lids lock down to prevent air getting in and liquid leaking out.

Awesome storage
It does what it promises and keeps our kimchi fresh while containing the smell. Taking out the food does get a little messy though, but it’s not a big deal.

It made my kimchi sour!!
I've made kimchi once before having this container, and I had been disappointed by the lack of fermentation. It never got sour, it was fishy and got spicier and spicier over time. The tupper I used made the fridge smelly, too. This time I used this kimchi container, and the results were AMAZING! Admittedly I used a different recipe, but the fermentation was there! I had to burp it every so often, and the flavor was sour and so delicious! No smell at all, and a convenient size! Packing down the kimchi was easy with the way this container was set up. Overall I am VERY happy with this container! I don't make it often, and when I do I don't make much, so this size was perfect for me. I want to experiment with sauerkraut, too! Seriously, it was so successful it made me want to try other fermentation projects!! If you're thinking about it and dabbling in kimchi, GET THIS CONTAINER. You won't regret it, it's amazing!

Great for making small batch Kimchii!
I originally bought this small Kimchi Fermentation and Storage Container as I had never made my own Kimchi before, and wasn't going to make a lot of it my first time. However, it turned out so good that my wife and I went through it in no time. I then purchased the larger 1.3 gallon container by Crazy Korean Cooking so we could make larger batches, and found that we could still use this container by keeping the larger container in our older refrigerator in the garage, and taking out enough Kimchi from that one and placing it in the smaller container that we keep in our kitchen refrigerator (which is always pressed for room it seems), and it works great! So, if you only need to make small batches of Kimchi, this is a great container for just that. And, if you like making bigger batches but always have to haul out the big container every time you want some, this smaller container can make things much easier on you as well by keeping a good amount taken from the larger container handy in your kitchen refrigerator. Thank you Crazy Korean Cooking... these containers are fantastic!!

Great to make extra kimchi
This extra large kimchi bucket works very well. We eat a lot of kimchi, so it is nice to make a large batch. We especially like the interior seal that can be pushed right into contact with the Kimi to create an anaerobic environment. Highly recommended!
