I haven't assembled this yet, but the directions are clear and simple and the pattern is not too many little pieces.

I wouldn't recommend this pattern for beginners. There are several steps that are not included with the directions, so if you have never sewn something like this before you could have problems not knowing what to finish. The pattern has not allotted for the seam allowance, causing it to be difficult to match up the pieces.
