This Noco Booster is more expensive than equivalent products but the cost is justified by the rugged design and solid build quality and comprehensive UI provided by the various Indicators on the top of the unit.It is easy to use thanks to the modular design which allows the battery clips to be separated from the booster unit. A significant upgrade from the older and heavier lead acid based jump starters, being lighter and taking up much less space. Being able to recharge via USB-C makes the product much more flexible with no booster specific charger or cable to lose or break.After boosting/jump-starting a 2.0L petrol engine the booster seems to be at 2/3 capacity and takes 1-2 hours to charge back to 100% with a USB-C laptop charger.

Only just received, so cannot say anything about long term use yet. Needed it to start a dead car battery.Arrived, put on charge for say 6 hours, that was our choice to first charge it.this model size selected on our budget NOCO Boost X GBX45 1250A 12VI Would utterly, recommend buying a carry case for it.CASE = NOCO GBC017 Boost XL EVA Protection Case For GB50 NOCO Jump Starter.This took the booster, cables, & charge cable, but not an external charger, which I decided to buy extra.Costing £23, I also bought for a faster charge IF NEEDED, " 96W USB C Charger Power Adapter "for MacBook Pro 16 15 13 inch 2018-2021, New Air 13 inch 2018-2021,Works with Type C 96W 87W 61W 30W 29W PD Power Charger, to charge it. This was my choice, the unit did come with a usb to C type cable, to plug in where you want.This extra 96w USB to C, charge unit I bought, will not fit into the NOCO case with the unit & cables.We had 1.4 Seat car, not been used for months, battery totally dead.Put this on, turned key, & fired up perfectly, very light & compact. SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE IT WOULD WORK.It got rid of the need for jump cables, & spare battery, or jumping cables between car, so it was brilliant.Imagine doing old way in the rain or snow, this NOCO bonnet up, quick click on, started car, bonnet down,Nephew could not believe what I was doing, with the little thing, WE were sure it would not start car..Our old starter, battery pack, was the big yellow one with radio etc, & foot pump on it, very heavy.It needed new internal battery, which would cost more than the unit. So bought this NOCO.

Bought to overcome battery issues on my Peugeot Boxer Motorhome, arrived partially charged but charged anyway for peace of mind, uses USB charger, seems to charge fairly quickly, under 30 minutes, Have had to use once already on the van, easy to use, wires long enough and van started immediately, impressed, LEDs on unit went from green to amber so don’t know how many ‘jumps’ it may have, have recharged again just in case. The unit is quite compact and has a cloth bag, other accessories are available. Went for the slightly bigger unit as other reviews suggest to. Used on Peugeot Boxer 2.2 Motorhome.

It works, buy it !!! This is an excellent bit of kit, it will start your car up with a completely flat battery with no effort whatsoever. It’s very small and packs in your glove box if you so wish. It’s so easy to use and changes up from a USB point so you can charge it while you’re driving. Don’t be fooled by its size. Would definitely recommend.

I originally bought this as an emergency boost for my Land Rover defender which is nearly 30 years old. However I’ve only used it on my 2012 Audi 2.0 tdi technik. On a full charge it will only start the Audi once when the battery is reading 12.3 volts. A modern Audi will not even activate the starter if there isn’t enough charge in the battery to turn the engine over and successfully start. That’s a minimum of 12.5 volts on my ‘12 plate. It does work but you’ll only get one go at starting the car on a charge. Recharge takes about 7-8 hours after one attempt. In conclusion this product works in a emergency but will only work once on a 2.0 tdi Audi. Generally Diesel engines need more current to start than petrol so that might improve things a little. That said, it’s good to have in the car in case you accidentally flatten the battery beyond starting voltage but not completely discharged.

Bought this to start my van (Peugeot boxer 2.2 diesel) charge it fully for a few hours, connected it to my van and using the override button, it started my very dead battery. From using it a few times, I would say you'll only jump start two to three vehicles before needing to change it which takes four to five hours.The GBX45 is well made with good strong crocodile clamps, the leads are good but could be a little longer.It's easy to use, not to expensive just a shame it doesn't come with a hard case.

Surprisingly compact considering the power it delivers. I bought it after a flat battery, and the breakdown guy used one. I opted for the GBX45 rather than the GBX40 for that extra bit of oomph and flexibility at a little extra cost. Petrol engines up to 6L and diesels up to 4L. Excellent bit of kit. Started my motorhome in an instant. Definitely recommended.

This item is not what you expect. I bought it as a Booster for my classic car but thought I would opt for the Noco GBX45 as it was advertised to also be great at charging other devices such as iPhones. However in reality it won’t charge much at all 1 iPhone charge and it’s flat. Contacted Noco and they said that’s correct it is designed that way. I will return and buy a cheaper alternative which actually does what it is advertised to do. In my opinion this is not worth the money.
