Finally, some pain relief!
I am wearing a leg brace after fracturing my knee, but the darned brace keeps slipping. It is made of very hard plastic and has no padding, so when it slips it pushes against my ankle and all the bones in the top of my foot. Very painful. I was googling, looking for some way of padding the brace, other than sticking a sock under it, when I found these gel-filled ankle sleeves. I've never even had ice skates on my feet, so didn't know there was a need for these little miracles, but I am so grateful! I hope the brace can finally be adjusted so it doesn't slip, but in the meantime, my foot is no longer being tortured. I can only imagine these work well for their intended purpose, of protecting ankles from stiff skates or boots. I think the ortho people should hand them out with leg braces. The sleeves are very well made, arrived quickly, and are comfortable. Thank you, CRS!

Highly recommend for boot lovers, especially in new boot
These are made for ice skates, but I used them in boots that have rear zipper that tend to slouch over time and the zipper ends up cutting into flesh. They’re also great for booties that have tight ankles so they don’t rub off layers of skin and cause blisters.

Hockey must, if experiencing upper ankle pain from skates
My skates all of the sudden were tearing up my upper ankles, these things are amazing, I now feel no pain during or after my hockey games.

Lesser of two evils.
I think this is going to be a love hate relationship. They definitely cushion my “ankles” from my leather hiking boots but they are sweaty when I take them off.

Great Product
Bought these for a friend of mine who is a skater. As she claimed they help to protect the ankles from getting to badly roughed up but they also help in fitting your leg into the skate better especially at the throat of the boot where the ankle normally rubs up against the leather there. With these, the both pad and protect your ankles as well as it is cushioned as it is a gel pad. They do help alot and would recommend to anyone starting out in skating

Good for preventing bleeding but I can’t say the same for baur bumps/blisters
Good for preventing bleeding, dosent solve the issue of baur bumps and just a suggestion for Crs cross! Maybe make them a bit thicker. I have to layer these and your Achilles thing for some sort of relief and it’s annoying to put my foot in my boot because I need two of them. And also I get like mini blisters even after I wear them. I do like how they shape to your foot

Excellent for hiking boots.
The media could not be loaded. There are 2 reasons I like the ankle gel sleeves. The obvious is the padding and protection to the protruding ankle bones. The second, and most important reason for me, is because a hiking boot should be snug around ankle and mine are not. I use the gel pad to bulk up the ankle. Thick socks or double socks work for some, but not for me-creates toe box problems. The gel pads completely cover the inside of the sleeve and keeps them from slipping. To put them on, turn the sleeves so the gel is on the outside & fabric next to the skin. Pull them on about 6" above the ankle. Then grasping the top of the sleeve (keeping the bottom of the sleeve stationary) roll the top down over the outside gel until the gel is on the inside and the sleeve covers the ankle.I have purchased two more pairs. I hike daily in the desert and the gel is very sweaty next to the skin and the desert dust is thick. I hand rinse the pads after each use but even in the desert climate they take a couple of days to dry. I don't know but assume the electric dryer is out. Therefore I have 3 pairs.
