Well worth it.
I purchased this item over a year ago and I am very happy with it. I find that they work best with my 50mm lens, but I also use the 12mm tube on my 18-135 and 75-300 lenses with no problems. The longer tubes do have trouble with autofocus at times but that is no real problem. All in all, I would say they are well worth the money.

Dubious AF capability enablement
Received mine today. a total waste of time. Finish is so so - not great - did not attach smoothly onto my Sony A9500. The worst part was that it did not connect electronically to the camera and lens - perhaps the contacts were defective. None of the AF capability was working on my lens - I had to manually focus, contrary to the claims made by the seller.. sending mine back

Great for dabbling in macro photography
Nicely made product. Connects solidly to both the camera body and the lens, even when stacking multiple units together. Nice cheap way to perform some nice macro shots with your existing lens without the need to purchase a dedicated macro lens. The connectivity is great for keeping the auto-focus and auto-exposure features of our DSLR enabled. With that being said, auto-focus can be rather finicky, it can hunt for the focus for several seconds, So if you have an active moving subject, you may want switch over to manual focus. Exposures always look great.

Great product at a low cost. Fits Canon t6 perfectly
I read a lot of reviews before I purchased this item. I don’t know why there were any negative comments at all. These extension tubes are well made with metal and plastic. They are similar to the construction of my canon lenses. They were easy to put on and use. They fit perfectly with my t6. The one thing you have to do is simply set your lens from auto-focus to manual. It won’t be able to focus otherwise. I used mine with a good tripod too. They are stackable but I found if you use all three together you’re basically millimeters from your subject. I took close-ups of flowers and was able to get amazing detail using the lowest magnifier. I haven’t used a macro lens so I can’t compare the two. I do know that this was a very economical way to get awesome close-ups though. I’d definitely recommend these if you’re willing to play around a little bit with getting subjects into focus. Once you do the results are great.

Not impressed
One of the rings didn’t work and the screw action felt like it’s grinding.

You get what you pay for!
These were a complete waste of time. I would say money as well but considering I'll get my money back when I return them, it's just the time. The problem is the poor build quality when stacking them together. They DO NOT fit together properly. They have about a 2 millimeter play in the mounting joints. You can shift them back & forth enough for the contact pins to lose communication with the camera. Simply snapping the shutter about 2-3 times is enough to cause a communication error. I'll be returning them. They only worked for literally about 10 minutes before my camera stared to error out. It says communication error between camera & lens.

A great addition to a photo gear set
This set of macro extenders feels solid, snaps easily onto both camera and lens and retains full auto focus functionality. Some reviewers complain that it's better to get a dedicated macro lens, but that pretty much misses the point. This provides macro capability with a standard lens - something I tried just to see why people had issues. In my estimation it's user error. If you have skill, these work great on a standard lens. I bought these adapters to use on my macro lens and they allow a whole new level of close up. I'm very pleased with my tests and am actively looking with more detail at the world around me armed with the knowledge that I can capture real details.

Great price and great product
It is not a macro lens of course, but for the price, it does the job and does the job very well. It takes a bit getting used to, the distance the way you focus with those several or one at a time, but once you do get a hang of it, the pics come out pretty great. Was able to get more detail on some of the smaller items. What I am also happy with is that when I searched for tubes, there were several different kinds, but I like those because of metal design, auto focus that your lens has and they respond to and the quality of the product, as I already learned to like a lot. Over all very happy.

Amazed how these adaptors work. Need to use with manual setting because the auto setting searchs to much. Solidly built with metal base is a nice feature.
