The Theo Bookcase checks all the boxes for me. I shopped and compared a dozen different "ladder" syle, wall-mounted bookshelves before choosing this one. I liked this one because it has 6 shelves, compared to five shelves on most. It is 30" wide compared to 23" wide (or less) on most shelves offered. The most important feature I needed was the ability to clear the baseboard heating unit, which it does easily by 3"-4".I got this for our small vacation home that doesn't have a lot of extra space to place furniture, but I MUST have a place to keep my books! And because the few available spaces have the baseboard heat I want to be careful what I put in front of them. This shelf unit fits the available space perfectly and feels very secure with the frame screwed into the wall at the top. I also really like the all-white unit as it blends in with the white wall, making a cleaner uncluttered look. The finish on the shelves is very smooth and nice (and no worries, the plant on the top shelf has a padded mat under it!)The box is heavy so it helps to have two people to lift and carry it. After that the assembly can easily be done by one person and is very simple and straightforward. You might want two people again at the wall mounting stage so that one person can hold the unit in place while the other checks the level and marks for the wall screws, and then holds it in place for screwing in the brackets.I can't overstate how happy I am with the Theo bookcase! It is exactly what I envisioned.

This is my 4th purchase of some version of the Theo shelf. I (obviously) really like the look of the shelves, their sturdiness, and their perfect size for whatever your purpose might be. It's a little fiddly to put together, but not really difficult. I actually put this tall, 6-shelf unit in front of an east-facing French patio door. I have my plants on it so they get the morning sun. It's perfect.

I had my eye on the Stairway Bookcase from CB2 for a while, but couldn't justify the price point. I'm so glad I found these! The all white looks so clean on my apartment wall and is exactly the look I was going for. Putting them together was SO easy, I bought two and each one took me maybe 30 minutes or so to build by myself. The mounting was another story, but that speaks more to my abilities than the quality of these bookcases. I would recommend getting a sturdier wall anchor however just for peace of mind, as they only attach to the wall at two points. I'll admit that I was somewhat skeptical about how well they would hold up simply due to how easy they were to put together, but they seem sturdy as long as you are conscientious about the shelving weight limit. The only negative aspect is that now I am buying a ton more books to fill these shelves up! Overall, fantastic product for the price.

I got the all white version to store a few things in my room, shoes bags etc. and I love it! It's super sturdy, high quality, and looks great. I also really liked the packaging and the copywriting! This is not a complaint but a PSA: be aware that the box does weigh 70 pounds so if you live alone or need stairs to get to your place you might need to phone a friend. I didn't read that in the description before I ordered (my bad) and live alone on the 5th floor of an apartment building with no elevator so getting it up was ... a journey LOL. but worth it!

The media could not be loaded. I was slightly hesitant to buy this for a few reasons, BUT THIS PIECE IS PERFECT for what we needed! It’s great quality, very easy to assemble (I did it by myself in about 30 minutes), easy to install, overall sturdy and beautiful. I got the damaged box discount and the box was damaged enough to be slightly concerned, but everything was literally perfect. Now my toddlers have their books where they can reach them on a beautiful display with added shelves for toys in their play room. TOTAL home run 🙌🏼 I will need to keep an eye that my boy doesn’t climb up it like a ladder to reach up high but that’s a whole other ball game. I would recommend this product a million times over again.

I purchased 2 of the 6 shelf in white to install side by side. Price was reduced that day to $79 which was a remarkable savings considering they weren't from the Marketplace.-Very Heavy. Boxes weigh 60-70lbs. I was installing alone so assembled with 3 shelves so I could lift upright alone and hold in place. Assembled top shelf and the 2 that cover the joints in the uprights then the last 3 shelves after bolting to the wall.-When placed snugly side by side not quite as clean as I would have liked...things don't line up precisely but will be fine when shelves are loaded. Shelves wiggle a bit with bolts securely in place.-The description says use in kids rooms but since the posts aren't secured to the floor, a child could pull this away from the wall and topple the contents of the shelves.I am very happy with the shelving for the $79 I paid. It is a good dupe to the CB2 Stairway shelf. I don't think its worth the $200 it is usually listed for.

Very impressed. Easy to assemble. And quality is great.
