Good quality chalk box
Excellent chalk box. the string is .5mm thick so it leaves a much sharper line than my regular one. Even with the string being so thin I am able to pull it taut and snap perfect lines. I can imagine it would break if pulled excessively, so a more gentle touch is warranted. Fast retrieve and there is a small lever that locks the wheel when storing it in my pouch. Powder refills easily thanks to bayonet-type screw top the same as my Milwaukee chalk box. Good quality and feels solidly built. I have x-large hands and this fits perfectly. Highly recommended

Chalk box
I work construction, I consistently use the red and blue chalk line for different applications. Red is for more permanent lines, the blue for marks that need to be cleaned away. The Tajima has a very nice centering on the dummy end that makes it easy to snap true lines on your own. The chalk box has a smooth bull and offers consistent lines over and over again. I recommend the .05mm line thickness for standard construction applications. The tajima pulls nicely and snaps well. It’s easily handled with gloves on or off, has yet to bind on me. I build in Vermont and we build timber frame so it sees a lot of wear and tear and keeps ticking, even after falling off roofs, into nature, etc. overall a great chalk line and I’d recommend them over any other brand

Best chalkline EVER
This is my second one of these. They are fantastic!!! Clean visible lines. The line doesnt break easily. The larger clip allows angle lines and the lock stays locked unlike other high end name brands

It’s great, and it works awesome… also it’s kinda purple
This is hands down the best chalk line I’ve ever owned. Holds a buncha chalk, nice line, reels fast…. All great. The one I got leans a little more purple than blue though. Not to say purple is bad, I always know it’s mine, it’s just not necessarily the blue i was excepting. I kinda like it, even if it doesn’t match the rest of my tools, but hey purple is good too. I’d go as far to say the color is growing on me, definately would buy another.

Fit and form to your hand. It’s gear ratio works well to retract line quickly!
Tool Is constructed very well. Takes a few tries to get used to lock feature but overall I really like using it. The only thing I’ve noticed so far is the finish on outside of metal casing isn’t very durable. In/out of my tool bag/ belt it has been scratched considerably and Tajima stickers are falling off. Doesn’t take away from being a great chalk line though. It just cosmetics!

Worth the extra money
I'm a professional carpenter, and this is the only brand I use. The quick roll back saves time, therefore money. It will outlast 3 cheap brands.

Best you can get for trim carpentry
The line is surprisingly durable for how thin it is and very precise. In a union carpenter and all the guys I work with love these. Doesn't clog up like other lines.

Fine line is great
Nothing compares to applying the fine lines with this chalk box. This is not for people who do not know how to use tools, this fine line will break with heavy handed use. Precision tools require precision use
