I loved this book and all the fun of getting to know Bee and Mason and their kinkly love is was hot and sexy

A little tamed after reading The Hunter and Professor Hunter Series. I expected a bit more from the playboy of the group but can't complain because he's no James. I enjoy the semi-connection the story has with its characters and definitely the development. I just expected more steam. Ok I'm off to the next book!

The Men of Manhattan series is a spin of of Ivy's Smoak's series "The Hunted". The books are based off of characters in "The Hunted" series. This book can be read as a stand-a-lone book. If you are following "The Hunted" series then I recommend that you read it after the book "Addiction". Characters from "The Hunted" will show up in this book just as the characters in this bool will show up in "the Hunted" series. I had mixed feelings about Mason when reading "The Hunted". At the Beginning of this book he is a insensitive alphahole. Which didn't surprise me. However by the end of this book I fell in love with him. I really loved hearing his story and getting to know his character a little better. This book is about how He and Bee found each other. Let me say there are some really 🔥🔥🔥 scenes in this book. I like Bee, but in the beginning she was a little naive. However I feel like in this book you watch her grown into her own. It is sometimes nice to see a character grow into a stronger person instead of them starting out that way. Even if you aren't following "The Hunted" series I recommend that you read this book. It is a good story will lots of steam. The epilogue in this book mostly has to do with the book Eruption in "The Hunted" series. I just wanted to put that out there. 😊 Enjoy this 🔥🔥🔥 read.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Ivy Smoak is a new author to me but I’ll be buying up her other books after enjoying this one so much! Bee agrees to a blind date because her life has been awful since her fiancé broke off their engagement shortly before the wedding. It spun her out of control. Literal nose dive. So her friends fixed her up. Mason doesn’t date. Perennial playboy. And when Mason meets Bee he definitely only has one thing on his mind. But Bee is now wary of men and Mason misread this girl! No way was she going to be up for what he had in mind! Bee’s hopes and dreams were crushed in the big city, this city of sin, New York, where everyone is out for themselves. Don’t get me wrong, Bee is attracted to Mason but again, she’s gun shy around guys. Mason usually loves the chase and then he’s over the woman. But Bee? She’s getting under his skin. It’s more about wanting to be with her long term. The road ahead is bumpy for this couple. Will they get to an HEA?? Read this delightful book. Please note the stolen cab scene!!

This book City of Sin was actually very good and entertaining. I truly loved it. It was adventurous and sexy. The storyline was, a storyline that kept the listener or reader engaged. To put it simply, I loved it. I didn't know what would happen next. To the very end, I didn't know what would happen next. So very delicious! Thank You Ivy Smoak for sharing your imagination! I mean it, you are awesomeness! Your novels are like a gift that just keeps on giving. I am the lucky one. You are the genius that has an out of this world imagination. Again, Thank You for Sharing!

This book was really good and very spicy right from the beginning, Mason and Bee had the chemistry right from the start. Mason and Bee were complete opposites and the only reason they meet because mutual friends set them up on a blind date. Mason was able to get Bee to open up and move a little which Bee enjoyed very much ;) I really wanted to love Bee but she just seemed so naive at times; I can understand being a new place and overwhelmed but this woman had no sense of self preservation. She let her perv boss creep on her basically sexual harass her but she did nothing; I get not wanting to lose her job but there was nothing holding her back from finding a new job there are many advertising companies in NYC. Staying in the apartment she shared with her stupid ex-fiancé that wasn’t in great shape nor in a good neighbor and she couldn’t afford meanwhile she had a great opportunity to stay with her friend in a better and affordable place, but she chose to stay in the crappy apartment. Bee was portrayed as small town girl who couldn’t the big city, but to me it’s like she didn’t try and closed her eyes to her problems. Mason was definitely not perfect either especially with the whole ad idea thing and his constant spoiled rich boy attitude. I was loving this book until the big fight because what in the hell happened? Bee being rightfully angry at Mason for what he did and he somehow manages to flip the script and she is trying to apologize to him! I’m not joking and she starts thinking of ways to apologize and win him back; he betrayed her and wasn’t honest about it! It was just weird after making a her partner in his agency even though she has no experience, the ending was just a little too over the top for me. This book heavily features James and Penny from The Light to My Darkness series.

I wasn't sure I'd like this one but it turns out I actually did. Bee is still getting over her breakup with Patrick the one true love of her life. They moved to NY and were going to be married until he NY changed him. Now 6 months later she's coerced into going on a blind date. After having a bad day at work she's running late and about to get a cab when its stolen out from under her. Mason isn't thrilled about going on a blind date. He's just in it for some fun. He's friends talked him into it and when his date arrives he can't wait to get her into bed. Unfortunately, she's not so willing. I usually can't stand the back and forth but in this one it was so enjoyable. Especially, the whole taxi cab scene. It was pretty funny. I liked how even though Bee was soft she had enough gusto to stand up for herself. I liked that a lot about her. As tough as things got she still had some sense of self preservation. I truly feel that at the end of this she didn't let NY beat her. She owned it.

When Mason meets Bee he only has one thing on his mind but boy did he misread this girl. Bee is a small town girl in a big city who has had her hopes and dreams dashed. The life she envisioned didn’t exactly turn out the way she expected. When Bee meets Mason she is instantly drawn to him but there are so many alarm bells going off and she has no desire to connect with anyone of the opposite sex after her ex fiancée broke her heart. Mason wants Bee and it’s more the thrill of the chase for him until she starts to get under his skin and it’s no longer about the chase but just being with her. Bee is very wary of Mason but there’s just something about him that makes her want him. When there past collide which includes an ex fiancée, Bee is more guarded but Mason now realizes he wants Bee. He wants what his good friend James has with his fiancée Penny. Bee’s uncertainty and Mason’s past is truly a recipe for disaster and then there comes a series of unfortunate events and the couple meets a few bumps in the road. Despite their struggles, their connection is undeniable and they weathered the storm. This was a beautiful tug of war love story that made you root for the couple and sympathize with Mason even when he was not his best self. Everyone deserve love after all.
