Having tried to make pompoms by cutting the frames from cardboard and the card quickly bending and breaking I decided to invest in a proper set of tools. These are heavy duty plastic and really easy to use despite never having seen them before.The circles pull out in half and turn out easily from the frame to wind the wool quickly and successfully. There are plenty of colour choices for the wool and adding two together creates a lovely blend. My daughter and I had made two pompoms each within ten minutes.The only problems we had were with the miniature pom makers. We couldn’t get the wool to stay on the circles while we tried to cut into the pompom shape. We will try this again and see if we can do better.The scissors provided with the kit were very easy to use, as long as there is not too much wool wound round the frames.All in all a very good value for money set and they should last a good amount of time if used properly.

Bought this kit for a 7 and 9 year old. They adored making the pompoms and sat for hours weaving the wool. The plastic forms were a little tricky when it came to the cutting through as the scissors included were coming apart. I had to throw them away in the end as the blades were dangerous when that happened. Easier to use a conventional pair of sewing scissors.

The scissors struggle to cut air. They look good but, are useless.The pompom makers work well, but are very flimsy. I dont imagine they will last very long but, they are cheap and cheerful. Easily used by 8yo's

It didn't look great on arrival. But it was ok to make the pom poms . The snips are very sharp

Our daughter wanted to make pom poms and this seemed like a good idea. Overall fun set, all you need in one. I'm giving it 4 star because the scissors are not sharp to cut the thread which seems surprising but we just used other scissors at home :)

Bought this for my granddaughter as a birthday present as she is into crafting big time. Everything worked perfectly but unfortunately the scissors in the kit are not up to the task. Everything else was perfect, she would give it a higher rating if there was one available. By the end of the evening she had a production line going involving all member of the family and made 29 in the space of an hour. Perfect gift.
