Adafruit (PID 2975) Parts Pal. The ultimate companion for an entry-level maker learning electronics

This is a great kit for getting started out in electronics, especially if you aren't sure the hobby is for you. It contains a good balance of the basic components and a nice little box to hold it all together. No complaints here!

High quality, no issues.

Being new at electronics i would have liked more details on the items included. My first build failed and I cannot tell for what reason and I just wish an itemized short list of details for items was in there with products. Could be all me though.

Good: Kit arrived in good shape with everything listed. My kit also has a LM358P dual op amp in the box. The LM358P is not listed on the Kit Contents but I suspect every kit has it. The official Adafruit website shows the LM358P in the kit. So I bet your kit will include one also. Bad: No parts list included. I copied the list off the Amazon webpage so I'll know what's in my box. Since there is no parts list, there is no description of each part. Since the parts are so small, I used a magnifying glass to read the tiny letters on each part, then googled that code to see what the part is, and matched that up to the Kit Contents list. For instance, some of the ceramic capacitors are labeled "105" which translates to 1.0 mfd. None of this is serious enough to lose a star, just a warning so you know what to expect.

It was disheartening to order this for a school project & then, learn that the buzzer, several of the lights & a few other pieces were defective & didn't work at all. I wouoldn't buy this again.

I wouldn't call it ultimate. It's a small variety but not ultimate.

There is a good selection of components in this collection. There is no list of what is included in the package but the list is available on the Adafruit website. The parts are all low power and quite small, you need a magnifying glass to read the colour codes or markings on the components.
