Nathan James Dylan Media Console Cabinet or TV Stand with Doors for Hidden Storage in a Natural Reclaimed Herringbone Wood Pattern and Metal, Oak/Matte Black

I really love the color and style of this TV stand. I do wish it was wider but I did read the dimensions on the product description and still choose to purchase it despite the size. It wasn't the easiest to put together and the parts weren't labeled very clearly (though at least they were labeled). There was an allen wrench included but most of the assembly required a phillips head screw driver which is not included. The main reason why it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the inconsistent panel gaps. The two doors have very different gaps where they meet the frame and it's quite obvious in person. All that being said a friend of mine commented on how nice it is and was really impressed when I told him how much I paid for it, so I still consider this a good purchase and it definitely fits well in the space I have. I'm happy.

Okay so this is my honest opinion of this product. I went to put it together and hardware was missing. I contacted Amazon, asked them if they could send the missing hardware. They told me I could either send it back or buy the missing hardware myself and hope it works. They gave me money back because I decided that was what I was going to do because I did not want to have to try to put everything back into the box and send it back. They told me they couldn’t do anything about it because it’s not one of their brands. I received the hardware I ordered, and found out it wasn’t going to work. I ended up contacting Nathan James and they told me that they would send me a new hardware kit so that I could put it together. Claire was super nice, and I received the hardware in a little over a week. The console is beautiful, but it is a pain in the ass to put together. Not impossible, just a lot of pages and making sure that you have the right piece. I am a pro-IKEA assembler so I thought this was going to be a piece of cake. In my opinion, it was really rough having all the pieces of my console sprawled out on my floor for a couple weeks but the company is incredibly nice and it’s the perfect piece of furniture for my home. So it was worth it, but keep this in mind before purchasing this piece. If the furniture is damaged, it’s on Amazon not the company. If it’s missing pieces, you need to contact Nathan James but they are very responsive and will help you out as fast as possible.

Arrived promptly in one box. No surface damage when I inspected it. Although, assembly is easy but if you’re one who don’t know how to “MacGyver” some little parts that are not in the package, you may get frustrated at this product. We got missing screws and some small dowels needed for the door, rather than dismantle the thing, shove it back in the box and have it sent back, my husband found replacements for them that worked just fine. We didn’t have problems with doors not lining up. It’s not a heavy piece of furniture since it’s not real wood. The feet have rubber protectors so it won’t scratch wooden floors. I don’t know how it will hold up in time but I’m guessing if you don’t cram it with too much stuff and heavy things, and don’t slam the doors carelessly, it might probably last until your next redecoration project. As for me, I like how it looks - clean and neutral, and goes well with what I have. It also functions well for my need: a stand that’s the right size for a niche on the wall and can house the Blu-ray player and a selection of our most favorite movies.

We bought this little media center/console purely for our record player and storing records - it is the perfect size and fits neatly in the corner of our living room. I saw some complaints about size - I measured the space and was looking for these exact measurements so I recommend knowing what you want before you buy it. Putting it together…..(sigh). Not horrible! But the directions started off fairly detailed and then the details kind of just stopped and you’re left piecing it together. I’ve been a million + one things from IKEA so it wasn’t a big deal but it did add time onto the process. The doors fit perfectly and I didn’t have any issues with broken or missing pieces, pieces that didn’t fit, or anything unpleasant. This is exactly what we wanted and I’m glad we got it! If the manufacturer is reading this - the cute little jokes are fun and light, but maybe be more detailed in what pieces go where and give more step by step directions for people who haven’t used those tools often instead of just photos 😊

2 years later and this piece is still sturdy and looks great. It was easy to assemble & I highly recommend it
