Won't know anything until I install them and that's not a simple job. I have tried others but plugs didn't match. Hope these do

I retrofitted these guys to power some off-road lights -- pretty much the worst conditions possible for a ballast. They haven't let me down yet, and show up all my friends for brightness! Just don't try and modify the wiring, because the voltage spike to strike the arc won't be maintained if you try and mount the ballast remotely. Excellent value for money.

I already had my car set up for HID headlights, and after 2 1/2 years noticed that the lights were getting very dim. I ordered these, along with a set of bulbs from another vendor. The bulbs were delayed, so I decided to replace the ballasts to see if the old ones were the cause of the problem. After replacement, the bulbs lit up nicely, but were still a little dim. Not a problem, I would replace the bulbs when they came in. The next day the bulbs arrived, but I didn't have time to replace them before it got dark. The same evening, we had to run some errands, and noticed that things were much darker...one of the lights were out. When I replaced the bulbs today, I found that the light was still failing to light up. I reinstalled the original ballast, and the bulbs lit up perfectly. 1 day seems to be WAY too soon for these new ballasts to be failing, but that's exactly what happened. I'll be returning them this weekend.
