A one sided rope chain saw that is difficult to use on a limb that is more than 2' feet overhead.
The chain seem strong and the teeth sharp. I need to cut limbs on a palm tree around 15 to twenty feet above the ground. I removed the handles and cords and tied a loop from the end of a braided rope that fit the hole, and tied the other end to a ratchet wrench. After several tries I was able to throw it over the limb of interest. I then took off the wrench and tied that end of the rope to the other end of the chain. I pulled back and forth for a while and got about half way through the limb which was crescent shaped and 3 to 4 inches wide. I was never sure if the blades or the chain was doing the cutting. The chain jammed at this point. The end is now sagging enough that I hope I can pull it into reach where I can cut it with my electric pole saw from back of my pick up truck. At that point I should be able to see which side was cutting. Since then I have received a double sided chain which was what I meant to get in the first place. i should have worked with another person so we could have stood apart and kept the chain straighter. Two days later I backed my pickup to the tree and was able to reach the branch with my electric polesaw. When the limb fell I saw that the hand saw had cut with the flat side, not the teeth before jamming.(see pictuure). I now have a similar pocket saw with cutters on both sides and I think it will work much better on the two remaining limbs that I can't reach with the pole saw.

exactly what you'd expect
Only 4 stars because the handles aren't the best. Works well either way, though! Haven't used it a ton, but cut down several trees relatively quickly the other day. Most were about 3-4 inches across. We had a partially fallen down tree that was almost 11 inches across that we cut in half to get it unstuck so we could use it for firewood. Got through it much quicker than expected!

Good saw for limited purpose.
Chain saw blade usable for cutting small branches into logs. Used to clear several fallen branches following weather.

doesn't work that well
If I had all day might work

Received a rusty and used product
Item was rusted over and cords connecting plastic handles to chain were worn out with one cord broken. The handles had sand in them!! Completely grossed out!! This item was obviously very used!!!! Will be returning.

Doesn't work
I could cut it faster with a hack saw!
