I'm not a regular baker but I wanted something to use for decorating when I do bake. These have a great assortment of designs. The tips have a seam on them but I don't think that will cause any issues when using. Again, I'm not a regular baker so these should work fine for my needs.

I purchased this set and was very excited when it arrived! The only issue I had with the kit is that the tips were not numbered so they could not be readily identified. I contacted Kootek Customer Service and to my surprise they immediately offered me a full refund or replacement kit that was numbered. My initial thought was to get a refund. But, since I was otherwise happy with the purchase, other than the tips not being numbered, I decided to go with a replacement kit instead of a refund! The replacement kit arrived within days, but in the interim I was contacted by Kootek Customer Service with shipping information so I could track the shipment progress. I did not expect this high level of service and interest, but it is good to know from firsthand experience that there are still some companies who care about their customer's satisfaction post purchase. My new replacement set (58 piece numbered kit) arrived in days, and out of the box I was very satisfied with my decision to accept the replacement kit instead of a refund. I have also been contacted on two occasions by Customer Service to make sure the replacement kit arrived and if I was satisfied. I have been very impressed with the follow-up and count myself as one "happy and satisfied customer"! Great job Kootek and WAY TO GO! Not too many companies out there that I know of that have this level of customer service focus like Kootek did. By the way, I have already used the replacement kit and the piping tips were great on my cupcakes!

I bought this set to learn how to pipe buttercream flowers. I’m a beginner and didn’t want to invest a huge amount upfront. For the price I feel like I got a good variety of a good product and are compatible with other brands.My biggest complaint about these are the numbering system on the tips. If you’re anything like me, I like to watch tutorials to learn and they all use the numbering system Wilton uses. I’m not sure what system Kootek is using and as a beginner, totally unfamiliar with the piping tip world, it’s frustrating. If anyone knows if a conversion chart that compares Wilton # to Kootek I’d appreciate it. My advice if you’re a beginner, buy the basics in well known brand and then buy Kootek once you’re more familiar with the shapes and sizes.

I'm a piping novice. I bought this after endless hours of watching that British baking show on Netflix. It looked simple enough and certainly made frosting look better than what my butter knife would do. I'm happy to say it is that simple. You need not have one iota of artistic ability to make a cake look beautiful. My only 4 star was for "easy to use". The product directions have been poorly translated into English and since I've never used a coupler before I had no idea what to do with it. It comes with 2 so in my stupidity, and because of the incomprehensible directions I tried using both couplers at the same time, one inside the bag and the other over the decorating tip. I realize I'm embarrassing myself by admitting this but I'm hoping this review will help someone else as new to this as me. You have to unscrew one of the couplers, the bigger part goes inside the bag to just past the end of the bag, add your preferred tip, then put the smaller part of the coupler over the tip and screw it down until it's tight (not so tight it deforms the bag but tight enough to keep it locked in place). Then pipe away! Other than the coupler mishap I've had no issues and find excuses to bake just so I can try new tips:))

what a lovely kit, I love how I can organize everything and my favorite part was the silicone piping bags that came with it. its easy to use and i would defiantly recommend it to anyone.
