Govee 32.8ft Resin Smart RGB LED Strip Lights H6109

I have had this strip of lights for about two years now and they are the best! They have been attached to the back of my desk, they provide a very good amount of light with vibrant colors and cool scenes! I have tried several different brands of LED lights both smart and not smart, and I have had the least amount of issues with these ones, and they even cheaper than the others. Others that I have tried don't have the range of colors, have connectivity issues, or don't completely respond with smart assistant commands, but I have experienced none of these issues with the Govee set!The only issues I have experienced:-Music mode is a little weird, and doesn't work as I had hoped, but I have yet to find an alternative that does, so I can't truly fault Govee for that.-About a year and a half after purchase, I had moved my desk that has the lights attached, and when I reconnected the lights to power, there seemed to be an issue that caused the lights to be stuck on green. I could not fully determine what happened to the set, but I contacted Govee support and they helped to troubleshoot it, and then fully covered a replacement that arrived two days later!Overall, I could not be happier with these lights!

Well packaged. The manual that comes with it is fairly understandable. The app is quite simple to use. The lights are pretty easy to set up to the app and to Alexa as well. I had no issue whatsoever with the set up. The install went the same way any installation of strip lights. The process is simple but depending on what it’s being installed ON, it can be a bit tricky to get it spot on. If you’re considering this item and it’s the first time you’re installing a strip light, the lights come on a reel about 5” in diameter. It can twist about a bit while installing. Remove the backing by the foot or less as needed, adhere it to the location, then pull some more of the backing off and repeat. Don’t touch the sticky side and be sure of where the strip is going down as once you press down on it, you really can’t pull it Back up to reset. Just take your time.If you’ve installed led strips before, same as any 4 pin strip. Grab a few 3” or 4” zip ties for excess wiring.The app is typical for smart Home devices. The Alexa integration was what drew me to this item and it didn’t disappoint. Easy set up and it’s doing what it was installed for, all in about an hour.This item will not disappoint.

They were so fun to put up in my room! Great for watching movies, listening to music, relaxing, etc!

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this brand because I thought it would be better quality. Unfortunatelly, when I tried to power them up, nothing worked. The leds just dont turn on for any color, it's dead. I think I got a defective product, but there is no aparent physical damage.UPDATE: I emailed the manufacturer and they were nice and helpful. They sent a new unit which actually works great!The sinc with the music is actually pretty decent, altough I wont be using it much really. The app is good also, and gives plenty of flexibility, including all colors, tones of white, schedules, and sceans which is a constant transicion between several colors.On the downside, they are not as bright as I expected. I installed them under my cupboards, hopeing it can double as a light source to work in the kitchen, but it didn't really give much light. They designed for you to see the light, not to iluminate a surface. Second, the color spectrum is not super rich, but is decent. I have trouble getting a "warm white". All I get is either a daylight whiteor chicken yellow.Also, if you have decent skills soldering electronics, you can cut the strip in parts, add some cable in between and divide the lights in parts (obviously voids any further warranty).

Wish these were compatible with Smart Life App as well and not just the Goove Home app. Does not work well when changing Alexa group to white, have to change bulbs separate for this setting. Example, this strip is in Bedroom group with 2 other smart bulbs (not Goove) under the Alexa app. When I tell Alexa to switch Bedroom to White, now only the strip changes color but not the bulbs. This only happens with White, other colors work amazing! Worked around this by creating a separate Bedroom Bulbs group. Only reason not giving a 5 star. Great quality lights!*UPDATE 6.7 - I ordered a 2 more of these as the first were pretty good quality - but received one defective strip which music flickers when there is no sound and while i have these behind the tv there are times it just doesnt turn on with the sound option which defeats the whole purpose of getting it as i wanted them as ambient for movies and such to go with the surround sound. Slightly disappointed ☹️Update 6.18Received free working replacement sent fairly quickly! Team reached out to me and was very amazing service!

I’ve had these under a handrail inside my house for over a year and a half. I use it as a nighlight that automatically comes on and goes off according to a timer I set up through alexa. It’s still working great. None of the leds have stopped working so all of the lights still match each other. My other led strip made by this same company has several of the blue leds that no longer work so the color of those particular lights doesn’t match the rest of the strip. The adhesive wasn’t holding up to gravity pulling down on the end due to the power cord dangling, but I solved that easily with some clear packaging tape. I’ve only had my alexa routine/internet connection with this led strip stop working once after the power went out. It was easier to fix than when that happens with my “smartbulbs”. Seems to be a pretty good product for the price.
