I like Valerian alone (without other herbs) for relaxing and staying asleep. It always works for me. So many sleep teas have mint which I like to avoid. Many years ago when I started to drink it, I thought it smelled yucky, but now I don't mind it and I don't mind the taste which I think is a little bitter. This particular brand has some "sticks" but they are small and I imagined them to be smaller roots.
