I like the way it looks and feels in my hand. I like the smell and the fine lather. Removes grease and leaves skin soft.

I don't really care for the aftershave odor. The whole point in getting glycerine soap is purity and simplicity for sensitive skin... then they go dump a bunch of perfume into the mix. For hand-washing... I like it... but for the shower? I'll go with a non scented brand next time.

I had a slight skin breakout that I couldn't clear up. I used the soap for a couple of days and my skin improved. After using for a couple of weeks, my skin is nice and clear again. The soap is gentle (even for older folks like me). It washes off easily with no residue and my skin doesn't feel dry. I do apply a moisturizer after washing. I will buy again when these are used up.

Palmolive hand soap used to be a staple for me until it was discontinued. If it was a staple for you then you know what's called palmolive today... isn't! While this soap is quite different it has become my new staple. It's the only hand soap I need!Years ago I had a dandruff shampoo that smelled a little like pine. I bought one of these locally, and it's smell reminded me of that shampoo. I bought quite a few since I really can't get this locally.

I was excited to see Pears still available even though it's no longer made in the UK. The scent is not the same. Top notes of thyme and rosemary are strong and prevalent, but that's it. Missing are the softer, more floral notes like lavender/pine that made it so wonderfully distinct, and herbally mysterious. Still has a nice creamy lather and is non-drying on the skin.
