Sharp and well made

Used this kit to process an entire deer that I harvested including skinning, quartering, and butchering. The knives were of good quality although they seem to dull somewhat quickly. A couple runs through the included sharpener restored them to razor sharp. The handles are very grippy and comfortable which was handy during the process to maintain control of the knives and to reduce fatigue using these for long periods of time. The hard shell case is excellent and the knives fit in there tightly and securely. Overall for the price this is a great kit and I would recommend.

Great knife set. I use it for butchering rabbits. I especially love the gut hook blade.

Decent quality for the price.

I don't have any other sets to compare this one to, but I just did two deer and I was very glad to have this set in time for deer season. I have other knives in my kitchen drawer, but I kept coming back to this set for the quartering and processing. Of course the knives get dull and the sharpener works well. The only thing I was surprised about (and maybe it's ignorance on my part) is that there doesn't seem to be an effective way to sharpen the hook knife, in the hook part. I have a different sharpener to deal with that. I love the hard shell compact case to store everything in. I appreciate the orange color that helps me find a knife that is missing. I even like the small compartment just for disposable gloves. It's just going to be one of my favorite things that makes hunting all the more enjoyable. Overall, I recommend.

Bought this several years ago and love it. Have used it to skin, debone and cut up many deer. Holds an edge well and the sharpener works well enough.
