Love my Heybike Mars!
I’m not gonna lie, I had issues with this bike when I first got it. The wiring was messed up and I kept getting an error message. I contacted Heybike and at first they weren’t much help and I was going to return it (not looking forward to trying to get it back into that box though believe me!) but then I messaged another way and got the second customer service rep he was a big help and got me going!I love this bike. I love the blue color I got. I love the fat tires. I love how far I can go on a charge. I love everything except how heavy it is! Whew boy did I have a time trying to lift the folded bike into the back of my vehicle when I camped last weekend! My back still hurts! But it replaced one of those little bitty folding e-bikes so I will have to build my muscle strength I guess! But for real, love the bike and glad I bit the bullet and bought it, though I’m a little confused why I had to pay shipping and handling and now it ships free! 🥴

Nice Bike but issue with parts
My husband bought us the Mars bikes for Christmas and for my birthday road trip to state parks starting on the Dec 26. His black bike was fine but my white bike didn’t have the correct seat post. Needless to say we couldn’t use them for our special planned trip. Had difficulty contacting the manufacturer. Was told replacement post would not be available for them to send until at least 2 months but that we could purchase our own part from Amazon and they would refund. The replacement part wasn’t an exact match either and my husband had to heat and bend the metal seat lever to make it work but then had to repaint the part because heating the metal damages the paint. Just received notice that my Amazon account is being credited for the replacement part costs. We were able to take the bikes for a short ride and they seem to work fine. Didn’t get above 10 mph and my brakes needed to be adjusted. Learning to work the manual pedals and speed settings without the chain slipping. I will need to read up on the operation of ebikes to work out the correct way. Was able to foldup both bikes and fit into the back of my Honda pilot with the help of my husband but not sure if I could do it by myself without difficulty. I will probably purchase a bike rack instead. Overall I believe I’m going to enjoy the bike because the pedal assist worked wonderfully on mountain paths.

A tank of a bike, best bike I've literally ever owned.
Let me preference this by stating this is my first ebike and the fact that it's somewhat modular is a wonderful. So I've included a pic in my review of my kneecap, why? you are probably asking, well... me and the bike had a bit of a accident, a car related accident.... don't worry me and the bike are actually fine, infact I SUFFERED MORE DAMAGE THEN THE BIKE DID, though sadly the damage to the bike is a bit more permanent, I will get to that in a moment and is by no means a knock against the bike. The collision was low speed and completely equal blame on me and the other party, and partially bad building placement.I got on the bike to go do some shopping, I felt the breaks were a bit loose, said to myself I'll tighten them when I get back, and then because I wanted to hurry... went too fast for my own good. She was a elderly woman who was blowing through a parking lot exit with a massive blind spot created by a building and our fates collided... literally her car collided with my left peddle sending me bouncing as I tried... in vain to stop myself but I did manage to move my leg out of the way of the front bumper so that's a plus hurray! ... my right leg kneecap on the other hand did not however avoid the pavement...But this bike, this beast of a bike... only left this encounter with a bent crank arm (still slightly bent but bent back easily to a more usable position) and a busted lcd but still functioning (replaced), a small crack in the front fender, and a tiny cosmetic dent on the front suspension. The bolts did get a bit loose and I had to readjust the handlebar breaks and the gear shifter, which also got a bit scuffed. Luckily and more importantly INTENTIONALLY I carry every possible tool to field tighten and light repair in the extremely waterproof saddle bag.(Accidentally left one open with nothing in it and the flap had a decent puddle formed in it)It's made it to my work which is over a very steep bridge into another town like a champ and with more then enough juice after both ways to tow around my dogs in the pet carrier. But to answer if my dogs were with me when I got hit... nope just my stupid self.Yes the breaks do loosen over time but they tighten easy and if you feel them get loose on you, tighten them... don't be me, don't be that person who thinks going out for a quick errand means you should forgo BASIC MANTAINENCE AND SAFETY. but if you want a very reliable affordable means of eco-friendly cost efficient traveling, the mars will comfortably do so and more.Just... ride responsibly.
