I have been looking for this product locally and couldn’t find it. My husband is going through chemotherapy just now and I wanted more food that was palatable and easy to eat after suffering full digestive system Mucositis with the first round of chemo. I’d made milk jelly with evaporated milk but it’s not quite the same as Blancmange. This made with with full cream milk is going down a treat and it reminds me of the 1960’s when we had pink custard at school. I’m not sure if they are good value or not, but needs must just now.

I was brought up and jelly and blancmange and even today I prefer blancmange to any other pudding. When I make it the memories flood back of childhood and good times.

My offspring only want the sort of trifle made by their grandmother. No sophistication thank you. There must be blancmange in the layer between jelly and custard, which seems to have disappeared off every supermarket shelf. Even Waitrose! I now have ultra processed blancmange powder and the kids are happy. They are all over 20 by the way......
