Classic Durability, Great Value, Minimal Signs of Decline with Intense Use
I purchased this belt to replace a Carhartt model that survived nearly 15 years of heavy use (farm work and contracting). While many note a decline in Carhartt’s overall quality, I haven’t seen that yet in their leather goods—especially belts.Build Quality:• Leather finish and grain are consistent with the high standards I’ve come to expect from Carhartt.• The buckle cladding appears slightly cheaper—likely tempered steel or an aluminum mix—but this doesn’t compromise function, only aesthetics upon close inspection.Fit and Wear:• True to size; I’m a 32x30 and opted for a slightly shorter tail for a cleaner fit.• Versatile enough for daily wear and presentable enough to pair with slacks and a casual sport coat.Durability Expectation:• Based on past experience with Carhartt belts, I expect 10+ years of reliable use.• This is my sixth Carhartt belt, and all have performed consistently across years of wear.Verdict:Solid craftsmanship, fair pricing, and trusted longevity. Carhartt’s belts remain a smart investment if you prioritize durability and understated style.

My favorite belt
I like this belt so much, I bought a second one. It is strong and has a professional quality look. The black buckle on black leather looks great.

I am glad i did as I am on the 2nd hole ...
I'm retired now so its cargo shorts in the summer and levis in the winter here in SoCal. To be honest i was looking for a decent gunbelt for my CCW. When I did my search on Amazon, Ebay and other places, its ridiculous that you have to pay more for a belt than the jeans and shirt combined! When I did my search in Amazon, this belt came up. I was somewhat surprised by the belt and cost. Then i read a review by a fellow CCW carrier and I decided to give it a shot. Also, I was worried about sizing as sometimes other reviewers can give different feedback. I where a 36 in mens pants, jeans, cargoshorts so i ordered the size 38 belt. I am glad i did as I am on the 2nd hole from the last which is right where i like it! As far as the belt goes it appears to be a single piece of leather and the height is just approx 1 1/2 inches so it fits perfectly through the levis and cargoshorts with no room to spare. More, importantly, it fits the same way through my crossbreed OWB and compared to my old leather 1" belt really hugs my waist at the 3:30/4pm position. It is snug. I carry a pretty light 9mm compact about 17oz and there is no list or lean...sweet!! The thickness of this belt will make it a little while before it breaks in so i cant speak to long term wear & tear but i can tell you this, if i wanted to go to a more medium to full size ccw on a owb holster...this is sturdy enuff to hold that rig up. This has been a very pleasant surprise so when it comes to value to cost , its 4 stars for now....if i can get at least 2 + years of continuous wear outta this....its worth more than what i paid for it! Very happy with this purchase...Now, if this thing starts falling apart, amazon will be the first to know in my update........

Logest Lasting Belt......Ever!
I'm unsure if I've ever reviewed a product until now. The Carhartt Anvil style belt is a solid winner! I was searching my purchase history for this belt to buy another in a different color (black) and was shocked after learning when it was purchased.I use this as my everyday belt and after all this time its appearance is worn however the leather has not broken down. No cracks, no torn punch holes, no tearing at the buckle fold. Amazing longevity. The math: Conservatively worn 300 days per year at 15 hours. 300 x 15 = 4500 hrs. Ready? 300days x 15hrs. x 9yrs. = 40,500 hrs.I have no idea what Carhartt uses as the expected life but these results are for a belt that is NOT at end of life. Buy 2 and you're set for 20 years. Probably a mixed review for a company in the business of selling. Their business of customer satisfaction is without question.

This is the best leather belt I have ever had. It feels like it's gonna last forever and looks really good.

Previous purchase lasted 10+ years
I just bought a second one of this belt after I found it sagging the last year. According to Amazon I last purchased it over 10 years ago, so that should serve as a sign of its durability. Actually, the old belt is still usable if you don't plan on hand too much extra stuff from it.As for the belt itself: it is wide and stiff and great if you carry a hip pack or something else heavy. No complaints.

Nice durable belt
After 10 years of nearly daily service this belt finally gave up. The buckle fell off after the loop attaching it had the stitching fail. Can't really be upset at 10 years for a 26 dollar belt. I'll probably buy another one.
