Amazing fit and great sound deadening!!
I don't give a lot of 5/5's. This deserves it. I ride a Harley-Davidson, and this helmet made riding it so much quieter! I have a long oval shaped head and this fits a bit tight (not too tight), so anyone with a regular oval to long oval will feel comfortable in this helmet. However, the fact that its so much quieter in my helmet than in so many others makes this the helmet to get. With my Bluetooth setup, I used to have to have the volume all the way up to deaden the outside road noise, wind noise, and muffler/engine noise. With this helmet, I have the headset on medium-low, and I can hear everything just fine, from music, to books to phone calls, this helmet's sound deadening features have really shined! I will be happy to buy this product again.

This helmet is awesome. Was snug for the first few hours then felt perfect. Love the vents and the quietness of it.

QUEIT !!!
I LOVE THIS FRIGGIN THING ! ITS LIGHT, IT WAS GOOD AIR VENTS THAT YOU CAN FEEL. AND MOST OF ALL ITS QUIET !!! I DRIVE A HARLEY AND WHEN I CLOSE THE VISOR I CAN BARELY HEAR MY PIPES. LOVE THIS THING, AND IT DOESNT MAKE MY HEAD LOOK LIKE A BOBBLE HEAD, ITS GOT A NICE SMALL SHELL

Great helmet
As usual great Shoei quality! Fit and finish is top notch. This is my 4th Shoei helmet and no regrets. The price on Amazon was about 10% less than competitors at the time.

Very quiet. Difficult to mount attachments
I've been riding about 2 years and I bought this helmet from the start given the reviews about it being quiet. I've ridden now about 8,000 miles and I love this helmet in terms of sound. I don't have any other helmet I've used to compare it to, and I tend to wear ear plugs as well, but the helmet is very quiet. I did swap out the visor with a third party version that darkens automatically in the sunlight and clears up at night. My one gripe is that the sharp angles on this have made it very difficult to attach GoPro mounts or a brake light doodad I would like on the rear. Have to spend more money than others to buy accessories to use this helmet or rig up things to make it work. The angles likely help make it quieter but it does come at a price.

protecting your nerve and sense center
have been riding Shoei helmets since the '90s. Had to have a helmet in CA then. Don't have to here in IN. This RF1400 is the best I have ever worn for road comfort. Felt tight on my lower jaw line until it broke in. And I do not have a Jay Leno jaw. So, trust it for the redesign on the 1200 which I still have. Thank you.

Best helmet, worth the money
I have tried several types and brands of helmets and this is by far the best. Low drag at high speeds and comfortable to wear. Doesn’t fog that much for me either.
