This small unit covers a lot of space AND does it without making sounds above a whisper. You can watch TV, make video calls, etc without even noticing it's a few feet from you.

Would absolutely recommend if you're looking to clean up the air and/or remove odors. I bought this first thing after buying a new home. The house itself is old, so it had lots of years of dust and particle build up from previous owners. Which gave me some issues with allergies (runny nose, sneezing, coughing, etc). I picked this out after a bunch of research on air purifiers in hopes it would help. I can say it definitely has helped and has been my favorite purchase related to my new home so far. I've been using it for about 4 months now and it's been great. It cleared up my allergy issues pretty quick. It definitely does a good job of removing particles from the air. I use it in different rooms of the house and leave it going for a while when I either want some air flow, or to freshen up the room. My house and it's rooms aren't too large, so this fan is more than enough to move multiple rooms worth of air in a short time. This actually does a great job of removing smells from the air too. I didn't necessarily buy the air purifier for this, but have been happily surprised at how well it works for odor removal. Neighbors smoke, so it helps cut that scent a bit if I want to have the windows open. I've used it in the kitchen a decent amount to cut down on the smell of strong foods or smoke when food has accidentally gotten burnt (oops). I can leave this running in a room over night and it'll remove any lingering smells by morning. In the 4 months of having it the filter seems like it's still got a lot of life before I need to even think about replacing it. If you use it heavily daily or in environments thick with dust, particles, or intense smells it might not last as long? Very quiet on the lowest settings. Only used it in the bedroom overnight a few times. I do enjoy that the lights can be mostly turned off. The only feedback I would give to Medify for this model (M-50 V3.0) is maybe find a way to add a carrying handle or loop of some sort to the top? It can be kind of awkward to pick up and carry from room to room as it's a bit bulky in size. Definitely not worth taking a star away though.

Pros: Small footprint. Relatively clean design. I think they have good quality filters. The MA-112 got good testing results from nytimes' wirecutter. Cons: This is an overpriced Corsi box with a very high true cost of ownership. I'd guess that they are very cheap to make. My purifier arrived with the plastic sides bent and partially popped out. I put them back into place but the plastic is thin and somewhat warped. Air comes in from all four sides and out the top. There is no "glass" top on this filter; instead there is a cheap feeling plastic grid. The beeps are extremely loud and I confirmed with the company there is no way to adjust this. There are no extra features or sensors/auto features as there are on some other companies' filters. Fan speed 1 is very quiet but only moves 41 CFM (cubic feet per minute) Speed 2 is quiet but not usable for me as this speed makes the machine vibrate and makes an unusual and for me, unpleasant, noise. It may not bother some people. 88 CFM Speed 3 is fairly loud but that unpleasant noise disappears into a more normal "whoosh". 171 cfm Speed 4 is extremely loud. It says 56db but it is too loud to have a conversation in the same room and louder than any of the other purifiers that we have. It might be good to clean out the air in a room as rapidly as possible while you leave the room. It's misleading to say that it covers 1100 sq feet. A) this is over 30 minutes and the standard for CADR is 4.8X per hour vs 2x per hour. b) it is only achieved by having this 4th speed which is too loud to do anything in the same room. (speed 3 only moves 57% of the air as speed 4 and speed 2 moves 29% of the air). So practically, I'd say that speed 3 is loud. So using the 4.8x standard and the loud but usable speed 3, this machine covers 261.26 sq ft. Every business these days wants to make money by being a subscription service. I confirmed with the company that you get no warranty at all unless you buy the filters at a maximum of four month intervals. So in addition to the cost of the machine, you have to buy $90 filters at least 3x a year. You can get 10% off by officially subscribing. I wrote to the company asking about my situation where the purifier would not even have a few hundred hours on the filters after four months. There was some cheery excuse about dust possibly making the filters ineffective which is not true. If I'm not using the machine, very little dust will affect it and it's easy to cover. Dust, pet fur etc affects the filter while in operation. They essentially want you to replace the filter while the filter is still good. But it does bring me to the filters for this machine: there is no outer filter as there is on purifiers from most other companies and I believe on medify's own MA-40. The outer filter catches large dust, pet fur etc while in operation and is generally cleanable and extends the life of the filter. This would be a simple thing but I believe the company does not want to do what most other companies do to extend the life of these filters- providing a basic outer screen. Poor design for profit. On a sidenote, Medify seems to be in some dentist offices and have paid for testing to show the capabilities to remove covid 19. There is plenty out there written on this if one is interested; any true Hepa filter captures smaller than .3 microns and covid travels in aerosol droplets that are much larger than the virus itself. Essentially, true Hepa will capture the virus. Some ICU's in other countries have air purification systems that filter a room's air volume 12x an hour. 6x is considered good in other hospital areas. (But this doesn't mean that it will capture droplets between two people in time). But is Medify better than Levoit which has H13 filters and is much cheaper and requires filter changes 1x a year and the filters are less expensive? Or in our case, we have coway 300s and 400s which have been solid for years. I bought two medifys on prime day partially for their smaller footprint. I waited too long and wish that I could return this one knowing what I now know about them and their policies.

I purchased the Medify MA-50 Air Purifier during Amazon Prime Day this year(2021) and I have been using it for about 3 days. I have noticed that stage 2 on this purifier makes a vibrating noise like a fan is shaking inside, and it makes the whole machine shake. Other stages 1, 3 and 4 seems to be working fine. I have no idea why it vibrates and shakes at Stage 2 Only. It would make more sense if it shakes at a higher stage such as stage 4. But my other air purifier(Winix C555)that I have been using for over 2 years doesn't make any vibrating noise even if I set it at a higher stage. I Chose this product over other brands because: 1. I found Medify air purifier at my dentist office and It made me want to try it since the doctor's office uses it. 2. I have been looking for a reliable and practical air purifier which comes with the feature which kills viruses or bacteria and with more coverage capacity. The one that I have been using covers 360 sq.ft. This one covers a room up to 1,100 sq ft in just 30 minutes, 550 sq ft in 15 minutes. I wanted to use this product in my living room + Kitchen + dining area(it is open floor plan). 3. I hardly found any negative reviews on this brand. I spent a full day searching and read reviews on this brand. After reading other consumers' reviews it helped me to make a decision to purchase. After using it for 3 days Here are my thoughts. 1. I like the lowest setting(stage 1) is very very quiet. At first I wasn't sure if the machine was even on or not. It is very quiet as you can check in my video above. In my opinion, it will be helpful if you want to use this air purifier 24/7. 2. I was worried that this air purifier doesn't have the Auto odor detection sensor which some other brands have. Since I am very sensitive to odors such as cooking, human body odor, pet odor, etc., the air purifier must very reliably remove odors. Even though this product doesn't emphasize odor removal, I think Medify MA-50 is great for odor removal as well. I cooked at home a lot which makes a lot of cooking smells, I set this product stage at 3 for about 10mins to 15mins and the smell was gone. To be honest with you, I think this fact made me want to like this product the most out of all of the other benefits of this product. 3. There is no remote control which I frequently use with other brand(Winix C555). It is inconvenient to set or change the mode especially when I am in bed or cooking in the kitchen. It could be much nicer if they add remote contol or wifi features. 4. There is no handle or part that I can easily grab and move it. It is not super heavy but It has enough weight that you should be careful not to drop it while you carry it. Even though I was not going to carry around the house frequently, from time to time I like using the air purifier here and there inside my house when I feel that the room's air needs to be cleaned. Conclusion, I am not sure I will keep this product since I am concerned about the vibration that this machine makes. I might want to return it even though I like some of the great features that this product has.
