IROIRO Premium Natural Semi Permanent Hair Color 30 Violet (4oz)

Ever since Punky Color changed their formula so it now stinks, has a strange texture, and bleeds like crazy, I’ve been floundering trying to find a dye I like. The old Punky Color was a fantastic balance of long lasting color without staining everything including the person wearing it. Iroiro is the best thing I’ve found since. I’ve found several colors similar to this violet that I’ve loved upon first application. They’ve started out as beautiful, deep indigo or violet, but they’ve faded visibly even between washes. Just horrible at sticking at all, even on freshly bleached hair. This Iroiro violet gets a similar intense color-but it stays! It doesn’t fade in between washes and doesn’t end up looking silvery after two weeks. It lasts for quite a long time. I’d been so disappointed by every other dye I’d tried that I finally wised up and only got the one color to try, so I can’t speak as to whether other colors stick. I’ve now ordered some others after using the violet and being satisfied for almost six months and multiple applications. When it’s been applied with things like Manic Panic and Silver Fox, it’s outlasted the other colors. While some reviews I saw mentioned not liking the texture or the container, I’ve had no problem with either so far. My teenage daughter often applies my color for me, but when I’ve used it myself to quickly touch up my roots, I found both the bag and viscosity nice for the task. I can see how hypothetically it might feel too thin for hair farther from the scalp, but I have not thus far experienced any problems. We’ll see if my bathroom floor ends up with unexpected puddles as we use more colors and applications. Fortunately, the violet has been like all the other fantasy colors I’ve used and comes off of counters and the tub after a few weeks of normal cleaning. I gave up trying to mask my counters and floor when I’d inevitably manage to smear stuff anyway and I discovered it all comes off eventually anyway.

I’ve been seeing the awesome colors of Iroiro on instagram for awhile, so when it was time to try a new color I decided to give them a try. I always have bright colors in my hair, for years now, I do it myself at home( and I am not a trained hairdresser) and this color is absolutely, hands down the best I’ve ever used. I love that it’s vegan and cruelty free, the scent is pleasant, kind of like artificial grape, and it’s thick without being hard to spread. The color is true to the description and so far the staying power is great, with washing in cold water and using a color safe shampoo. I will be trying more colors in the future!

Great semi-permanent hair color! If you were to take good care of your hair (ie - not washing too often, using colder water, etc) it would stay looking fresh for quite a while! Mine stayed looking blue for about two weeks before it faded out, but I took a hot bath and used a hair straightener multiple times which faded it quicker. I would recommend this for anyone looking to have fun hair but not make a huge commitment!

I ordered this to color my white dogs hair. Was hoping for a bit more purple color, but it's very blue. It lasts about 3 washes.
