This was a HOOT!
I played this game with two adults and eight children. It was chaos to say the least. Pro tip: Read it all before you start. We doubled the recipes because we were feeding a lot of people. This also meant that there were a lot of moving parts in the kitchen- stove top, oven, all the counter space. The kids had a blast with the competitions and learned a good bit. One learned how to use the markings on the butter wrapper, another learned what a box grater was and which side to use for cheese. Two learned to fry a good burger. They all practiced skills such as cracking and separating eggs, measuring, chopping, dicing, mixing, and following instructions. Because we doubled, they also practiced math skills. The food was actually very good. Our timing was off but that's mostly because of the doubling. We kind of abandoned the scoring after the initial competitive games and just enjoyed the process. It took us over three hours but we really did love it and the kids had a great sense of accomplishment. Next time, I'll have a glass of wine hidden in the pantry!

Family Chef
This game came with everything, but food. The idea of the game is pretty easy, kids enjoyed. It was easy to substitute items for a child with severe food allergies. The game was a BIG hit with our famy!

No steamer paper included.
Love the set. But the steamer paper was not included. But Amazon sent me new set without having to return the old. Hopefully the second set will have the steamer paper.

The whole family has fun with this game
The whole family is enjoying this game. We take one set of recipes, which turn out great by the way, and team up doing all the skills and challenges. It was a gift for my ten year old granddaughter who loves to cook. However we’re all learning and having fun. Best part is eating the delicious and different meals.

In theory, this is amazing
I really wanted this game to work because my kids are obsessed with the TV show. The fault isn’t in the cellar. However, it’s in the creator of the game. It kind of makes it hard to play randomly because you have to have all the supplies ready to go ahead of time as in the ingredients to the recipes. My kids always wanted to play it at random times and I was never prepared. I missed the return window and now it just sits in a closet. It’s such a bummer because my kids really wanted to play out the master chef game at home on a whim.
