I live in Germany for 7,5 years while in the Army. ot one to miss a good Fest, I would gravitate to the beer tents. When you enter the fest you'd pay a 1 DM deposit and get a mug (Called Eine Maas with the grosse S I believe) When you left, after getting umpteen refills, you gave the mug back and your 1 DM was returned. On one of my last Fests, I kept my mug. These are big, I think each one holds one metric bakoodle of beer, not the little mugs you get at restaurants Stateside. My Son in law asked for these for Christmas (Minus the beer) so I got them for him. I checked them out before wrapping them, and they appeared to be authentic and heavy. I was looking for a beer glass the would hold a minimum of 24 oz., and was made of heavy glass to keep my beer cooler longer. These perfectly fit that bill. I am happy and would buy again.

We used to use the Long skinny glass to drink draft beer from our kegerator, but I noticed it always have that layer of foam that is very annoying, then I went to a bar one time and saw this type of big glasses, I fall in love in the first sight, specially when I can fit my whole hand through it and hold the beer with my whole hand?! Not like normally hold by couple fingers, oh my god, that’s legit, and the foam on the top will become very thin, which that actually added more favor to the beer!

What can I say, it’s a huge glass German beer stein. It’s great!
