Solid Christmas light multitasker
I rarely write reviews, but I had to for this product. This thing is incredible for incandescent Christmas lights; for me that was a pre-lit tree we've had forever. Rarely have I seen any tool with so many features implemented so well. The manual is great, the packaging can be opened by hand and reused to store it, batteries are included and installed, and it even comes with spare bulbs in the handle. I tried so many things before this to fix my dead strings of lights. I inspected it, light by light, with a magnifier looking for broken bulbs. I tried a both high and low voltage non-contact voltage meters, but I kept getting false positives. I tried removing bulbs and testing them with a multimeter, it would give me unclear results. The Quick Fix feature is some sort of black magic; I was very skeptical, but one trigger pull and the string came back alive. The bulb tester works very well (bulb lights up = good) although a bit fiddly sometimes with placement, but the manual covers this (use the metal tool to scrape off any oxide on the leads). The bulb remover makes pulling bulbs trivial, way easier than nails or a spudger. The same tool makes it super simple to flip the leads on the bulbs so you can replace the base. I did not try the non-contact voltage detection, the fuse tester, the mini-light tester, or the wall plug quick fixer. I didn't need to use any of them. This thing is an absolute bargain. If you still own incandescent Christmas lights, get this tool now.

Works as promised! Time saver!
I'm one of those dudes that keeps strands of Christmas lights year after year, spending/wasting too many hours trying to resurrect old strands for "one more season." Many folks simply buy new every year and avoid the frustration (and finger pain) of swapping bulbs out until the strand finally works. I skeptical this product would do anything other than waste more of my time . . . I was wrong. Although the unit feels somewhat cheap, it functions as promised. Have a strand of lights with only half the bulbs lit? Unplug a bulb on the "dead" half, plug the socket into the the Light Keeper Pro, pull the trigger a few times, and the darn thing springs to life. This didn't work on every dead strand, but it did on most. Those that didn't respond went straight to the trash bin. That in itself saved me a ton of time compared to prior years. Another feature I didn't think I needed but am glad to have . . . a light bulb tester. I have tons of old bulbs in a Ziploc bag to use as replacements when fixing old strands at the start of the season. Many of these don't work and I used to keep swapping bulbs until one lit up. With this device, you can test the bulb before inserting it. Dead bulb goes straight to trash. Another time saver. In addition, this has a bulb remover device, sorta/kinda like a bottle opener for mini lights. It's finicky but functional. Saves the sore finger problem I usually expect after pulling and replacing so many bulbs. Maybe the biggest bang for this device is the ability to use it AFTER the tree is decorated. If a once functional strand goes dead, simply hook it up, pull the trigger, and you're back in business! I spent a few hours today using the Light KeeperPro. By the end of the process, I was really glad I bought one. I would certainly purchase this again.

Almost, almost perfect & still worth the cost even if it can't fix every string of lights you have.
This worked, in almost every case, to immediately fix a string of 100 incandescent mini-lights where one or more 50-light portions would not light up. Its handy bulb tester was great, and the bulb-puller also quite useful. The audible voltage indicator worked for *some* strings of lights to find a suspect bulb, but would not ID failing bulbs or bad sockets or wires in every case. (It seemed to have the hardest time with tightly wound 3-wire sets, constantly providing the rapid detection tones at every bulb even if that section would not work.) There are numerous helpful videos available to show how the LightKeeper Pro operates, and indeed it does work just as shown. The instructions are clear, and the tool is safe to operate if you follow those instructions. For the price, this is still a lovely little tool, and if you still have numerous and various strings of mini incandescent lights as we do, and you struggle annually to identify the bad bulbs, as I do, and you swear a lot when trying to figure out why some strings no longer light up, as I do, it is more than worth the cost. True, it might not fix every string. And yes, you *can* buy multiple sets of new lights for less than the cost of the Lightkeeper pro, and save time. But if you don't want to throw things away, and you refuse to let a string of lights beat you (especially as a retired electrical engineer!), and you want that neat feeling of having fixed something, then this is indeed the tool for you.

IT WORKS!!!
It is magic! Sorcery! It’s works so incredibly well. Frankly, I’m a Christmas lights super freak. The more on the tree, the more strung up though out the house, the better. But, I haven’t reached a point where those $50, $75, $100+ LED forever light sets make sense. I wait for after Christmas sales and buy the standard iridescent 50-100 light strings for $2-5 ea. 5 strings this year (2025) that weren’t behaving; either fully out or half out. This device helped bring all five strings fully back into service. I may have replaced 60 bulbs in total. This device has proven its worth; and worth every penny it is.

Las instrucciones no me parecieron muy claras, pero con un vídeo en YouTube fue suficiente para comprender lo fácil que es su uso. Nos ha ayudado muchísimo a reparar series de luces sin invertir horas. Muy recomendable.

One word! AWESOME. A big section of my pre-lit Christmas Tree was not lighting up. I had tried randomly changing bulbs but gave up quite quickly as I was never going to work out where the fault was. The light keeper found the fault in seconds. So easy to use and worth every penny - no need to buy a new tree or string lights!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – An Amazing Tool That Saved My Christmas Tree Thank you so much for this amazing tool. I literally fixed my pre-lit Christmas tree within two minutes of opening the box. I have a background in electrical and electronics, but my usual tools were too sensitive to diagnose this specific issue. The LightKeeper Pro was incredibly easy to use and offered multiple troubleshooting methods. The first “Quick Fix” method didn’t solve the problem, but the second method—the audible voltage detector—quickly pinpointed the exact spot causing the outage. Within moments, my tree was fully lit again. I’m genuinely impressed. This is a fantastic product, and I highly recommend it to anyone dealing with a stubborn pre-lit tree.

I am sure that people will write good things about this product, but for me it didn't work, we bought a xmas tree which was pre lit and when we had it the third year a section didn't light up, I ordered the lightkeeper for this reason, but the section still doesn't light up, I followed the instructions, so I would say, I don't like this product and it was a complete waste of money
