I got this phone for my mom who is in a nursing home, and has some dementia. The local phone company wanted to charge a ridiculous monthly fee just for basic phone service! The Jethro phone offers just what I needed, an easy to use, inexpensive phone so that I can keep in touch with my mom. I was especially looking for a cellphone that is easy to charge. My mom can just keep it in the charging base! The phone came with a SIM card and was very easy to set up. Very happy with my purchase, so far.

Great, simple phone and I do mean simple. Just what my 82 year old mom who is not in the best of health needs. The thing I appreciate most about the phone is that there are no volume buttons on the sides. With other phones, my mom always did the death grip so the volume would get turned down to low, low. Now it is set at its highest volume all around and stays there. Now when i call, mom can hear the ringer as well as hear me talking to her. Phone is a God-send for her in this age of phones that are smarter than an astrophysicist.

This phone is PERFECT for my 91 yr. old dad! I set it up for him then I called his number to see if he was able to answer it. He did great without a problem! I set the ring volume up so he wouldn't have a problem hearing it as well. Great phone for elders!

So far I'm liking it. Great option if you don't want it to have Internet access. Almost every phone out there is fully Internet capable, so I'm grateful it's still an option.

Sadly, AT&T has issued repeated warnings that they would no longer support the Jethro 4G phone we purchased last July for a hospitalized senior relative. The Jethro phone worked perfectly ... actually a cell that looked like a home phone in a charging cradle with large numbers. Fortunately, we recently found out that Jethro also provides service (who knew?) to keep the phone working with very affordable service plans. We're so pleased and we worked with an extraordinary agent, Gurneet, at Jethro that helped bring all the daunting moving parts together for a smooth transition porting over the old number and activating the old Jethro with a new sim card. We're elated.
