Wow from a Keurig
Lets be honest... those of us that use a Keurig use it because its convenient and easy to uses and we get decent results. Sometimes results are better than others depending on which brand/flavor of K-cup.The old Tully's Kona was pretty good for a K-cup but then the Kona crops got wiped out due to an infestation of some sort. Us Keurig users have been forced into the new style of "Hawaiian" K-cup that's a blend as is barely ok. Heck, I even stopped buying those and switched over to the Timm Horton's. Well, those Kona crops seem to be coming back as prices on Kona are dropping and more and more growers are offering 100% Kona vs. the blends we had to endure a couple years ago.At this point I had given up on Kona in a K-cup and have started practicing French Press so I could get my own beans and grind to my liking. Then a couple weeks ago as I started my search for more beans I ran across these Hawaii Roasters 100% Kona K-cups. WHAT! Could it be?As coffee goes I could never have imagined that I would find a 100% Kona K-cup and when I did I expected it to arrive and just be ok. BAH! Can we say AMAZING! True to flavor! Mouth watering aroma from the instant you open the individual vacuum packed K-cup that is also recyclable (big bonus as these little K-cups are typically not enviro friendly).I have been going to bed every night with a glance over to my stash of these K-cups as I walked by them and rising every morning looking forward to my cup of coffee. On some mornings I was even selfish enough to have a second cup and have not felt one iota of guilt.Stop reading this review and buy a box. After you try your first K-cup do yourself a favor and order another box immediately because right now it's Saturday and I only have one K-cup left... F@#&!!!!!!!!!

Wow Is This Good!
This is the best k cup coffee we've ever had.First, it is not a Kona "blend." It is Kona coffee, without filler coffee added. Smooth and tasty.Second, the k cup is different from the standard plastic tub. It's quite a bit shorter: the brewed coffee does not come out a puncture hole at the bottom of the cup, but through mesh sides. Probably because of this, the cups come in individual sealed foil packets. This makes them a little less convenient than just throwing a cup into the machine. in addition, they seem a little more prone to splashing during brewing. And they have an expiration date stamped on the packets.CONS:Expensive - about 3.5 x the cost of others;A hair less convenient - have to open the foil packets;A little messier - splashes around the machine.PRO:Far and away the best k cup coffee around - the Pro that trumps all Cons.(Note - this is an opinion based upon experience so far, with about 25 varieties of k cup. Would invite tips as to others as good or better. We just haven't found any so far.)In sum, although this is pricey, it is the best. There are drinkable k cup coffees to be had for less money, but none to equal it.PS. We (or at least the me part of we) are particular about coffees. For years I bought green beans and roasted them at home using a couple of different coffee roasting machines. Was partial to Sumatra (Mandheling or Blue Lintong) as an everyday coffee, and Blue Mountain Jamaica as a special-events coffee. One coffee roaster finally broke beyond my power to repair it or find parts. Don't drink as much coffee as before. Finally went to a k cup brewer. Thus does age and convenience make cowards of us all.

Extremely smooth coffee and not weak
It's great that each cup comes in and individually sealed foil packet. When you open the packet and take a sniff, you are transported to coffee heaven. The smell of this coffee is a pure please for the olfactory senses. I have made this coffee on the middle size setting of my Keurig. That's perfect for this coffee. I have not made it larger. However, I have made a cup and then made a smaller cup with the same k-cup. Even the second cup is pretty good. This coffee might be the smoothest K-cup I've ever had, too. Try it first without cream or sugar. Just taste the Kona. I wish all coffee beans smelled like this coffee.I may not order this again in a K-Cup. At $2/cup it is quite expensive. It is expensive enough that I feel guilty having a second cup of it. No doubt you'd pay nearly this price for a bitter and stale cup of coffee from a coffee shop, though. I might order the 100% Kona and grind my own to make it more budget friendly. I ordered this via Prime and it arrived fairly quickly. The two day Prime shipping that took 4 days is the only reason I take one star away. I'd give this coffee 5 stars if not for the shipping. Since shipping and product are tied together on Amazon, I feel it appropriate to rate it as I did.

Kona...the name says it all
This was some pretty good coffee, but it could have been better. The individual cups are sealed in cellophane packets but are not vacuum sealed. The packets are under enough pressure that they are like little pillows. I don't know if they were pumped up with air when they were packaged or if it happened later. The reason the cups are sealed that way is that they are not standard k-cups: they are constructed of a plastic frame with filter material around them. This construction allows air to get to the coffee and begin the staling process. Being sealed in the pouches helps somewhat, but I noticed that the cups I opened when the package first arrived were fresher than the ones I saved for a month. I believe that if the pouches were vacuum-sealed the coffee would remain fresh for a much longer time, as demonstrated by 3-pound cans of coffee regularly sold at the market. Using a standard k-cup might also keep the coffee fresh longer since there would be no filter media exposed to the air. The other drawback to the non-standard cup they use is that you will end up with some coffee ground residue in your cup. Having said all of this I will add that it is a rich cup of coffee with very little bitterness. Probably not worth the price that is currently being charged, but Kona has long been an excellent coffee.
