My kids are at the age that they can use a computer but not really old enough to have their own.This skin is so thin that you don't notice it's there but thick enough to protect my keyboard and easy to wipe if there is any residue on there.

Definitely purchase a clear protector to cover any keyboard you buy. Keeps the dirt out. I love the keyboard with the fingerprint reader, so buy the right one. I prefer black keyboard and mouse.

Update - Ordered a replacement, this one fits a little better. Not 5 stars better, but manageable. Raised to 4 stars from 2 stars. I took extra time to use a straight-edge to push down the cover around all the keys so they would be seated as much as possible. Not perfect, but good. I also didn't secure it down with the double-sided tape provided, as there are times I'd like to remove it. This one is actually slightly thinner than another product I had purchased, so just a bit easier to type on with less resistance. I don't know of a product that is truly transparent in typing touch, but I'd buy it immediately if there was one. The TPU and silicone ones just can't get thin enough to be transparent in key resistance, they each require extra force. But this one at least feels better than the silicone ones because it's not sticky or rubbery feeling.===================--original reviewTerrible fit, many of the key impressions are too small to fit over the keys, so I feel that gap with every keypress. The stickers wouldn't help, as the entire cover is made to fit poorly. I have the version from the same maker for my 2024 Touch ID keyboard with the 4 lower left keys, and it's a perfect fit over the keys. This one for the 2021 is far inferior. I'll return this one and try one more time, maybe I'll get one that's formed a bit better. I'll update my review accordingly with the 2nd attempt.

Purchased this for my new Apple numeric keyboard with Touch ID and it is exactly what I was looking for. It is ultra thin and fits my keyboard perfectly. It included some adhesion strips, in case you need it (which I have not needed). It is clear, thin, and does not affect my typing on the keyboard. Hope it is durable, time will tell. I am very happy with my purchase.

I purchased this for my Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad. The reviews seemed good enough, and the price was decent. However, I discarded the product after using it for about 2 minutes. Here’s why:The fit is awful, and it’s definitely not optimized for the keyboard that I have (even though I purchased the exact model for my keyboard). The thickness is okay, but it adds too much resistance around the edges of the keys, making them harder to press. The appearance was not great at all. The cover didn’t sit flat on the keyboard, and the left and right sides constantly curled up. The material doesn’t feel good at all. It feels more like a plastic than a soft silicone. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this product at all.

I love the way this feels on the keys. It's very inconspicuous, and you hardly know it's there, but just from having this on for a little bit I can tell that it's going to be much better at not getting sticky and gross like the old silicone keyboard covers do. I think this is an excellent accessory for such a crazy expensive keyboard. Also, I don't have to use the adhesive that comes with it. It stays on just fine without it for me!

The sheerness is remarkable! I don’t notice the cover on the keyboard. I might type hard, so I notice some give with the cover on.
