Tried this product for the first time in my endeavor to incorporate flavor to mundane plain veggies. It does leave a slightly pungent aroma and very salty…thereby, only use a tiny bit at a time like regular pure salt. All in all it gives food a unique profile taste. Well worth the price for me.

Ich liebe Sojapasten und bin v.a. beim Geschmack sehr!!! anspruchsvoll. Ich war nach der ersten Probe überrascht wie rund sie schmeckt. Ich muss dazu sagen, dass ich mir auch gerne Suppen mit Misopaste und Algen mache. Ich habe Anfang 2024 ein koreanisches Kochbuch geschenkt bekommen und koche seitdem einige der Gerichte immer wieder - Kimchi!!!/Stews/Soups/Salate - und es schmeckt so gut. Und dafür brauche ich auch diese Paste. Und ich liebe getoastetes dunkles Brot mit einem Hauch Butter und Misopaste bzw. diese Sojabohnenpaste mit dünnen Scheiben Gurke/Rettich/Radieschen/.......

Schade. Zum Glück kenne ich bessere Produkte, so dass ich nach diesem Kauf nicht davon abgetan bin weiter Ausschau zu halten. Aber wenn dies meine erste Sojapaste wäre, würde ich denken, dass ich sowas nicht mag. Als Salzersatz OK, ist auch Preislich OK, mehr aber auch nicht. Edit- um fair zum Produkt zu sein: ich habe die Paste natürlich weiterbenutzt und mich anscheinend nach einiger Zeit an den Salzgehalt gewöhnt. Somit vergebe ich nun 4 Sterne. Wegen dem Preis wären auch 5 Sterne angemessen, aber wie gesagt, hätte ich es weniger Salzig bevorzugt.

Sempio's Doenjang enriches every well-sorted vegan (and non-vegan) household's pantry. The rich fermented taste offers that little extra funk and umami deliciousness that elevates a good dish to a great dish. Essential for Korean cooking. At currently 3.70€/460g, the Doenjang has a fair and reasonable price. I would still buy it frequently if there is another minor price rise, but I do not consider it an absolute steal.
